Ignore this guy Abeg. NOUN cannot graduate people from one list. Where is the 2nd list? So they want to graduate only those they posted their names on the graduation list in June 2018? Cc Anthonyo?? Are we expecting a new list ?

It will come out in a week's time. I was in the headquarter on Monday and yesterday

NYSC Mobilization for NOUN students to Commence in 2020

Report reaching ImpactTrustINFO reveals that mobilisation of NYSC for NOUN students would commence in 2020 as school management works out modalities to see her students participate in the National Service.

It was also gathered that Convocation has been scheduled for March, 2019.
The reason for this may not be far-fetched as election is around the corner, and the postponement of the convocation would also give more room for more students to join the 2019 graduands.

The 2nd All Faculty of Social Sciences Public Lecture titled “African University, PAN African Scholarship and African Liberation: Focus on Linkages Between Reparative Justice and the Educational System” took place earlier yesterday at the university headquarters.

The lecture which was delivered by Prof. Horace G. Campbell, University of Syracuse, USA focused on looking at the important questions of liberation and linking the questions of reparation and reparation justice.

He gave two major examples of the context of reparation by using the recent speech which president Emmanuel Macron of France made, that all artifacts which were “stolen” from Africa should be returned back to Africa; and the University of Glasgow, Scotland, who stated recently that £200millions will be given to the West Indies for taking part in the slavery that took place there.

He also said that students are calling for free higher education in Africa and PAN African scholarships should be a priority in every African University.

The guest lecturer emphasized on the importance of every African to be well informed about The battle of Cuito Cuavanale, which was a military battle that happened between November 1987- January 1988 that changed Africa. He stated that a lot of people are working hard for every child in African to know about the battle. The battle according to him has been intentionally kept away from the knowledge of Africans.

He stated that NOUN must be the centre of ICT when it comes to education because it delivers lectures through ICT.

“You must get patriotic entrepreneurs and they most be advanced technologically. NOUN should be built on African knowledge system which is the understanding of African fractals (geometric of nature)”

He concluded by calling on Nigeria to be at the fore front of Africans reparation and organize universities for the 21st century by including African reparation in our curriculums.

Present at the lecture was the Director, Bureau of Public Procurement; Senior special assistant to the president on disability matters, National Chairman people living with disability in Nigeria amongst others

Principal officers, deans, directors, staff and students of NOUN were also present.

Nigeria Lucky To Have NOUN

Ghanaian Professor, Horace Campbell, has said that Nigeria is lucky to have National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as the nation’s biggest institution.

The activist and erudite professor of African American Studies and Political Science at Syracuse University, United States said this while speaking as a guest lecturer at the second Faculty of Social Sciences Public Lecture in Abuja, yesterday.
