Pls is there anyone here that applied to South westphalia university of applied sciences summer semester 2019 that has gotten admission?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Armstrong34(m): 3:46pm On Jan 09, 2019
please good people of Nairaland.... can you List out the universities that doesn't require Uni-assist for application...

Like schools that gives students access to apply by uploading their qualifications on their application portal.....I mean direct application by uploading the required documents into their admission portal....

it's best you go through www.daad.de and go through each search result, there you can find out the means of application per school/course and requirements as well. If the application is through uni-assist, it will be stated and vise versa.

Good morning FAM. Please I want to ask if its possible to apply to German universities if I am a direct entry student? Does it affect my chances of admission? Responses are appreciated, thank you!
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by HillX(m): 6:15pm On Jan 09, 2019
Check University of Bonn most courses are direct though sending docs via mail is inescapable University of Potsdam too via Uni assist but School pays the handling fees no document certification needed, same Doc via mail also inescapable, or better still Check German Universities via Wikipedia it gives you a general overview of the country's entire universities something Daad.de can't give you.
All the best.

Good people, please I got a mail from uni assist that my application has been reviewed and forwarded to the intended school (HTW BERLIN). How do I track the application considering the fact that time is no longer on my side.

Also, uni assist stated that I can start my visa application process.. But how do I do this without the admission letter?

Hello guys i need candid advice. As a graduate in Bsc physics here I am wary of going to do MSc in physics because I know there are gaps that one has due to the education system here in Nigeria. Now I am trying to go in to software engineering but it seems german universities won't admit you unless you did computer science as that is a requirement. My target was this summer as some schools till accept online applications but now am confused cos if I apply for physics MSc I probably will get the admission but then am scared I might face huge issues coping cos of the like I said gap in the system on the other hand if I apply for MSC computer science or software engineering I may not get it due to the fact that I don't have a background in computer science. Am so confused men. I don't want to take on more than I can chew.
Are there fundamental courses or something on e can take if I were to somehow land there.
Am running form physics even though I have loved it with passion but I know the stress i went through here and sometimes when I think back I feel like I wasted 4 years. Anyone with advice. I still wanna apply for this summer sha. Can I still cope if I went for physics though I would love to do software engineering as I can program.

Bro I think you can apply for I.T related courses expecially with your skill in physics you can apply for Artificial intelligence related courses, Tu cologne offers automation and i.t as a course and some other schools offer related courses too, take your time and go through daad.de properly you will find courses like digital engineering, embedded systems etc.

But you also need to learn how to code with python, it will do you alot of good, because that's the mother of machine learning and AI, you can start learning this on your own as you prepare towards your summer application.
If you're ready I can give you some useful links where you can get good tutorials from udemy, teamtree house and co.

Just my own piece of advice cool

I think you should write to the program coordinator. Explain ur programming skills in details and ur motivation aswell. And apply for IT related BSC courses too
Thanks for this I appreciate. By the way is the global software development program restricted or Jon restricted admission?
Bsc courses are in german I think. I am still learning German but I will check for English courses too. Cheers.

Good afternoon friends, brothers, sisters and family

Yesterday I succeeded in collecting my letter of English proficiency and forwarding my transcript so I can get it from my school

But I have another thing running through my mind. I studied Environmental Health Technology at Hnd Level and Environmental Health Science at Bsc level but as at the time I would apply come April, I would be able to use the Hnd because the Bsc cert won't be available by then

Is there any school you can refer me to that prefers letter of English Proficiency to TOEFL. i am looking for any means to boycott that TOEFL exams. Any help in sourcing for any school with any related course at Bsc level will be appreciated

I don try tire to dey search

God bless everyone
You cannot use HND for masters. U have to wait for your Bsc.

Guys, please I need your advice on this issue. Prior to my coming in touch with Nairaland Germany student visa forum, I was misinformed regarding the procedure of application to schools in Germany. I made a mistake which (personally) I feel might be damning to my interview which will hold on the 16th of this month. I had my original documents (statement of result, transcript, ielts) certified (as in they where all stamped). I have been using them without an issue, I got admission with it. I have never felt it could be an issue. Just last month while crosschecking my documents, I had a what if feeling, so I just reapplied to my school to get my original certificate and another transcript but lo and behold, I still haven't gotten them till today. Therefore I am going to use these certified originals, I don't know if this will be a problem, if there's an alternative. Thank you

Hello nairalander and The experts here, please I asked some questions here last time but some referred me to old messages.. Of course you know going through them can be stressful especially getting to the particular things that I wanna know
1.Now according to part1 (pg3) of this trend someone was talking about visa.. He said 'if successful at the embassy for visa you will be given a 3months visa which will be changed to 2years visa in getting to Germany, it will be renewed after another 2years till you graduate...' my question is this 'what does it take to do the renewal after two years? Do I have to fund my blocked account again?

2.How much does it cost to forward my documents to my school of choice and which method do I use in sending it?

3. The embassy said' Please note that there are NO available student visa appointments for the winter semester 2018/2019 left. E-mail requests for appointments will NOT be answered any longer' does it mean winter admissions are over?

kindly give me answers please don't refer me to old messages I need latest update Jah bless for your answers nii

I really don't know if there's a place in DE am not there yet.
But you can download good resources that can aid your development here free, just focus on practicing alot and dedicate your time, maybe 4 to 6 hour's a day coding cool.
You don't really have to go to any major school to learn how to code

I think 2018/2019 winter are those that resumed late last year so it most likely doesn’t include your application. Yours should be for 2019/2020 winter I guess

If you don't pay tax, some others do. BTW that is our madness in this country, freedom to do anyhow, freedom to drive anyhow in traffic, dispose refuse anywhere, on noisy generator anytime even in the midnight, play music at over high volumes not minding next door neighbor, freedom to be mad and nobody go talk to you.

Na so one man start pig rearing in my street, he lives in the same street and sees the level of air pollution his business is causing yet he keeps postponing when he will transfer the animals. Reports have been sent to every form of authority but d man just d settle them and posting residents here. His last promise was January this year but I learnt the animals are still there.

In short, our unguided freedom is the cause of our madness and bane of development.

One of the reason i always come here, something funny on the side as always.

It's easy for a donkey to pass through a needle than for a Bsc applicant to get admitted without test of English. Just do it and you'll not regret. Remember, you still have blocked account, interview fees, flight fees etc to battle. All the best

Hello Guys,

I have been a follower of this thread for years now. I have had my stint of applications and withdrawal from the embassy(for work related reasons though). I have learnt a lot here, thanks everyone for the time to make sure prospective students are properly guided. Considering each case comes with its own peculiarity, I’ll appreciate if I can be guided on the following:

I was just informed that I cannot take up statutory health insurance because I just turned 30years of age. Is there any other health insurance I can subscribe to? Can a private health insurance outside Germany suffice? Would Fintiba plus solve this challenge?

Thanks guys!
