Your first mistake (one that doesn't make you sound as informed as you're trying to appear)is thinking that you have access to "ALL THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE OR MIGHT NEED"
Drink some cold water, We learn everyday.

dolpaz:

I don't need any information. I Have lots of information at my disposal and have been helping/advising people since 2012. So learn to think. I'm here in DE and know what's obtainable but since you don't know me.. I'll let you wallow in your ignorance.

You could do yourself a favour if you're not part of the lazy Nigerian youth to read my previous post on this platform.

Peace out

Finally i am here after two weeks of going through various pages....

I must say this is a wonderful place to get information and the corporation here is unique i must thank
Honourableseyi, Goldenventures, Elde, Kenechill, heybaby12 ,chiwazo ET others for the good work they are doing here, God bless...

I do have some few questions

1. What is the hope of an electrical Engineer who is good with electrical wiring and installation in terms of side hustle because i can only see from the trend that programmers are highly needed, do electricians have hope.

2. Secondly what's the hope of a graphics designer ( photo shop and the rest) do they have hope for a side hustle while studying.

3 . My major problem is my low GP which is around 2.9 that is 2.5 ( German scale), it's not been easy to see schools that accept this GP so far although i will still search more on daad.de and remain hopeful.

Thanks

It is wrong to say only programmers are needed. Actually it is not even the case. Because of people from india, most of the africans who work as programmers are rather low - Middle level in the firm. High level development is done by pure germans and indians.

Electricians, Construction engineers, statistics experts, anything that has to do with technology, is highly demanded. The average salary of somebody studying "machinenbau" (Machine construction) is 40% higher than that of a programmer. So don't believe the hype you hear about programmers. If you are good in electronics, electro-technics, you are highly welcome here.

2 - As a student you are not allow to do freelance jobs (officially). But many people do side freelance works Cash in hand kind of. So you can always find things to do if you are a good graphic designers. This is not peculiar to Germany.

3- I have no idea about the nigerian grading system. I can't be of help there.

Hi, I got it, however it will be best if you ask your questions here so other people can benefit as there is little info on Rhine Waal on the forum. But if you still want to communicate via email, no wahala. I just responded to your email.

Thanks for the swift reply. I'm so grateful. Please if I am applying to 3 schools, do I have to certify my documents and make photocopies or do I certify each set of documents I'm sending to each school?

Make photocopies first,
It's the photocopies that you'll certify.
Don't send your originals oh

I didn't write my FSLC exam when I was supposed to, because I was told then that when writing a common entrance exam ,you dont need a FSLC exam at all.
When I recognized the importance was almost very late in the year 2012, I wrote the exam anyway Same year I graduated from my Uni.
My question is ,Can I go with this kind of certificate for interview, or I should just avoid it totally.

I need suggestions please

I'm still correct fa.
FSLC is first school leaving certificate. That's your primary school certificate na.

Since you wrote common entrance, your primary school is supposed to issue you a statement of your results and confirmation that you attended the school.
I finished primary school in 2006 and I wrote only the state government placement exam. I just got my certificate around march 2018 after going back to my primary school.
That's why I said you should approach them. If it doesn't work, go to the ministry of education of the state. They should have your records, or they'll issue you a certificate for a token.

I hope you understand my point

Okay, I understand perfectly well, but my question wasn't going to be about the application process of school itself as I have been admitted myself. I would just like to liaise regarding visa matters and eventual migration (if we choose to accept the offer).

how long will it take at the consulate cos I have less than one week to apply

You can book an appointment online this night sef for next week Monday cos most of the appointment for certification is available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If you book for Monday, everything will be done for you and you'll pick it up by 2pm that same day.
Package everything and mail your school via DHL. You'll beat the deadline

Shalom smiley cheesy

But with image you attached, you are also exempted from TOEFL or IELTS if you've studied in an English speaking country for at least six months. So, TOEFL or IELTS is not a MUST for Nigerian students since English is still our official Language.

However, this may only be applicable to this particular university

Yes, definitely.
I just wanted to ensure I exhaust the letter I collected grin grin grin grin

But then I can apply as a native speaker sef.

Hi everyone,

I just bumped into this thread and I can’t thank you guys enough for the wonderful work you all doing. God bless you all.

I am a graduate of Chemistry from university of ILORIN and I would like to further with a Msc from a German university. However I have certain questions.
1. Can I chose not to write any English proficiency exam and still get admission to a good university in Germany?
2. If I start the application for winter now, when exactly do you think I have to deposit the required amount into a blocked account?
3. With a graduate degree in Chemistry, do I stand a chance of gainful employment or Can I seek other disciplines at this time?
4. I have 3.08/5 in my Underg, how much chance do I have of being admitted to a reputable university in Germany.
Thanks and God bless.

Well, 2.54/5 in German grade is 2.84 which is low. You need a 2.5-1.0 in German grade which is equivalent to a 3.0-5.0 in Nigeria grade...can you be admitted for MSC?, Yes!, would it b very very difficult?, YES!!..
You best bet would b to apply for another bsc and write ielts but if u want to apply for MSC check thru daad.de for schools, make sure you search for programs that are non restricted, add supporting documents like work experience related to the course, professional exams e.t.c and write an A+ motivation letter also apply to a lot of schools

Concerning list of schools, Check daad.de for schools that offer geology or type "list of university in Germany" via google and browse thru each list. Concerning waiving ielts, you can only find out thru mailing the school

I read in the earlier pages of the thread that 3.0 is the minimum GPA required. Does that mean I can still try some school with my 2.85gpa. He mentioned school like Anhalt university of applied sciences. I want to do my masters degree in geology, geophysics or environmental science please can the gurus help me with some schools where I can apply.
