I have a near future plan, God helping me with some wealth, to sponsor the kids of all slain soldiers to whatever levels they wish to get to. This, and similar ventures, are one of the reasons I want to try and move out of middle class level to have more resources that I can spend on my goals as I have described.

That statement was made September 2015 and in December 2015, Buhari said in a BBC interview that the militant group has been technically defeated as the military had recovered lands and reduced their numbers drastically.

Maybe they shouldn't have come out to announce their success with such gusto I think. But the single thing about terrorist groups I know is that no matter how you fight them they always spring up somewhere else with a different leader and approach. The military is fighting an unconventional war with different factions of these terrorist. Its not an easy job to quell terrorists, they fight like cowards mounting attacks and then going into hiding.

Look at Alqaeda, ISIS, Tamil Tigers even the peoples liberation army in Uganda wasn't defeated in 3 months. Giving our troops the support and love they need will go a long way, not politicizing every single move they make.
