@Wilsub, you will do it all over again. But take your kids immunization records pls. It will make things a lot cheaper for you. Wish I had my kids immunization records when I went, I would have saved a lot. It was just my baby's immunization records I had. And his was the cheapest. And pls Note, for the TB test they do for the kids. I beg you, make sure you ask them to give you a personal copy of the result. They sent mine to the Consulate, I did not have a copy. Oga ended up going back to QLife for me to collect the result for the kids. I had him scan it to me. It is very crucial when u are enrolling your kids in school here. They will ask for it.

Finally IL received dis morning, thank you all for the follow up you provide here , going for medicals tomorrow at qlife, just in case anyone needs an idea of how much , for my 3 yr old it’s 103,275, while mine is 98,125.

Congratulations @ wendiescakes. Am glad IL's are being sent. Was thinking the government Shutdown would affect it. 3weeks now government workers are not being paid, and Oga at the top no send. SMH

Hello peeps. Happy New year. How is everyone doing?
Oladeep, Stancima, chicksy, koolkesh, hows everyone doing? Glad to see you guys are updating the thread.
Anyone who has gone for their interview and not heard anything yet just relax. Pretty sure the government shutdown is affecting all the agencies, home and abroad. Make we just pray for them to agree on time and reopen, cos its slowing down a lot. All will be well.

It doesn't arrive the same time. My kids own arrived before mine. When its family they don't send all at once. Sometimes they delay 1persons own, but it will eventually come. But u can go to the socia1xdl security office closest to you, to be sure there's no mistake causing the delay. Mine they said my middle name was spelt twice at the PORt of entry, so they had to correct it before it eventually came.

Good day house, really appreciate those who have contributed so far on this thread.

Please I have a question on behalf of a friend.

I want to find out how she can go about the Affidavit Of Support because the petitioner(her mother) is not working in the US.

She has been staying with her daughter (USC) ever since she got to the US, the mother just got her LRP approved recently and intends to petitioner for her soonest.

Thanks.

Hi Chicksy. Good to know you are out here in Seattle. I live in Lynnwood area.
If you opted for a social security card while filling the Visa form in Nigeria and you don't get it after 10days of arrival, visit the social security office. If you applied at the office here in Seattle and don't receive it after two weeks, give them a call. The wait on phone is usually long but not unbearable.
You can also visit the SS office to have it sorted out. Normally it should come within two weeks.
What part of Seattle are you?

Hello guys thanks for your helpful comments and responses so far....I do have a question I am F4, 2006, Priority year expecting to receive my welcome letter this year and I L next year. I have spoken to my petitioner(my bro.) about adding my wife and child he said is a bit close now and why include them they can come later ...

Do i have any option of having them join me within a year?

I don't want to add them through the link without carrying him along... Please advice me.

You can add them to your case, unless your brother cannot afford it right now because of the fees involved., then that's a different thing entirely, But as for adding them, it does not affect anything, just that the same payments for you, is the same payments for your family, the Visa fees, the Greencard fees, the medical fees, the ticket. Etc. If it is the other way around then u can file for them to join you. But u have to start working and get yourself ready financially to have them join you.

Goodday friends, hope everyone is well. Please i have a question concerning immigrant visa, My mum & I were issued our immigrants visas last month, I was a derivative applicant, my mum being the main applicant but here is the issue, Originally, i wasn't the only derivative applicant of this visa case, My sister was also included, everything was going well but surprisingly, when we got our interview letter in July, her name wasn't included among those to be present at the interview, however we planned that when we got there we would make enquiry about it at the embassy. On the day of our interview, surprisingly my sister's name was in their file over there and while we were being screened before the main interview they asked for my sister, same thing happened when the visa officer came, she called my name, my mum's name and my sister's name but we explained to her that my sister didn't come because her name wasn't in the interview letter, she then asked if we would like her to come now or after, We said after, then after a few questions(we weren't issued our visa that day) because she asked for pictures of my mum with my sister when she was a kid, teenager & adult which we were ask to submit at one DHL office together with our passport which we did, then a few days later we were asked to come pick up the visa... Here is my question please, I tried to check our visa status on the embassy site and I & my mum's visa status have changed to "Issued".. But my sister's own is showing " Administrative processing ", please what does it mean?? I also read somewhere that administrative processing cases are usually resolved within 60days, but its been over 40 days now and we haven't heard from them, Should we write an email to them? Or is there any other thing needed to be done please??

Goodday everyone, Please i contacted them via email as some people adviced me, All i got was an automatic response, that i would be replied in 4-7 business days, Its been over 8 business days now, no reply, any idea what i should do now? @Stancima @koolkesh

Nothing. Just wait. The Shutdown could definitely be the delay. Fingers crossed.

P.S
Have you and your mum picked up your visas?

Hi all, please I was filed for in 2012 as a sibling of a citizen. Any idea how long it takes for the petition to get approved? I have a career and all but I want to know if I stand a chance in migrating or it will happen when I become an old man?
In 2012 i was single, I'm now married with kids and have risen considerably in my organization so I wonder if it will still be worth it if approved. Someone said total wait time for a sibling is like 15 years...lol. Maybe I will be a grandpa then. I'm in my mid 30's now. What category do I fall into? F what?
Re: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by Nobody: 6:42pm On Jan 24, 2019
Sibling Family Preference is F4
That's about 15 years you're right. But the time varies for the most part the trend is that it gets longer

Visa bulletin each month tells you were they currently are

Then the status of immigration categories is still subject to US congress so if it still exists when your time comes see it as a retirement plan

Well,. thanks. By then I will be 'too big' by God's grace to leave Nigeria to go and start hustling abroad. If it will be possible to just get it for the kids sake and come back home that will be good sha. Let's see what the future holds. Thanks for your response, I appreciate.

Actually it's moved to about 13-14yrs sorry not 15years. But from other people's experiences then processing can take longer than these times depending on individual country's embassy times

Some sites give historical trend of times if you want to view
https://www.immigrationplanner.com/visa-bulletin/all-countries/f4-predictions/

Overall for Family Preference wait times have gotten longer over time (decades) though some years can be shorter than others.
