Lol, they're à perfect fit for my interests, so I didn't apply for any other. I got the admission since last year though. I honestly think they're a great school, just heavily research inclined. The city is also very affordable and comfortable.

fabiosmart:

Thanks,
Are you still settling for them or you've got a better option?

grin grin Fabcol my man, you know we have been friends since last year. Let's just say I was not in the mood though you have a way of confronting people that I don't like, esp when you did it to Eldeee.

The conversion aspect, I was only correcting the guy that said 3.0 above is the least for 2,5 German scale which I know is not true. Some German schools that I know even accept 3,0 for MSc in some programs. So brother having a 2.8 or 2.7 should not rule out the MSc aspect especially with a good motivation letter and CV (experiences).
Meanwhile how will someone with Nigeria 3.5cgpa have 2,5 German score? I bet u their was a mistake with his handlers cos I had similar experience but pointed it out to them which they corrected.
Dailydolar would have done better in explaining this cos I learnt it from him in the last thread, sorry he is not active here anymore.

One love bro
PLEASE mention the schools you know accept 3.0 for MSc programs

Check Paderborn university they cut 3.0 Germany grade, university of Munster they cut 2.9 Germany grade and so on.

Make sure you help your self.

Thank you for this. Kindly mention more schools you may know that cut between 2.9/3.0 German grade.

Please is it okay that the letter of English proficiency be addressed “to whom it may concern “ since I’m applying to more than one school ?

Hello, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this.

Forgive my naive mind, I have always thought of leaving the country but I don't know the steps or process involved. Someone had once told me that I will have to collect the Yellow Paper first, another said it's visa or was it passport? I seem to be in a conundrum and I beseech an enlightened one here to tell me the prerequisites and the requirement involved up to the point Of my departure. Also, my main purpose for wanting to travel out is Education (Bsc for now, though I'm in a fed Uni in Nigeria majoring in Economics and hopefully MSc if everything go as planned) or perhaps, curiosity.
I am the kind that love to explore... So, don't even know any scholarship I am to take and please, tell me what worked for you)

What are the documents I need? What should I have in place? Which office should I visit first? After that, what next?
Will be in anticipation of a benign response.

Eldeee:

I just deh laugh as the arguments dey fly in and out for here since yesterday and today. E be like say our sisters no dey do the work well abi our brother don dey fall hand small, hahahahaha. Shhhh, close your ears, no be everything una suppose hear.

Fabcol, you suppose don win award for this our thread as the lovely peace maker. Honestly I must acknowledge your contributions in seeing to issues being handled with sanity of mind. I really learnt from you when we had some misunderstanding here. I like the level of maturity you displayed. But you still need to make it clear to peeps here that this place is not a healing, deliverance and miracle center from your response.

I believe we are all here to uplift one another, but efforts are required from both ends to achieve the desired goals. I also want to believe we are not here to show who knows it all or who is the final authority when it comes to matters being raised here. Honestly this German thing is not a one template for all and sundry. It's just as your grace reach and a great deal of God's favor.

People have gotten admissions with very "awful results" as we might call somehow call it third class here. some have even travelled to Germany without any block money or sponsorship letter...yes are you surprised.... you better don't be. that's the beauty of the application process. so it's not a one template for all. it's case by case basis. someone here narrated how he came with incomplete documents, infact he failed to photocopy most of his documents as was instructed, but lo and behold he got favor from the sight of the visa officer after some initial disapprovals, but with powerful kabashing to back it up... lol, you know what I mean.

Oga chriswazo, take am easy oooo, haha haha, make you soji small small abeg. We will definitely get our desired goals by the special grace of God.

No man has the compendium of knowledge in its entirety.

God will make it happen for us all.

Abeg make I pm you, we need to relate beyond this German thing.

cheers.

Also did you use a language certificate to apply? If you did what was your score. She is in level C1 now which says decision being prepared for aptitude test or not. What does that mean for her. Thanks in advance for your response

I applied on the 16th of October 2018, paid the fee Friday of that week, took them about a week to acknowledge receipt of payment. I got the notification of Skype interview about 20 days after my documents were received, after the interview I received the notification of admission on the 3rd of December 2018,hope this helps.

Yes I applied with my TOEFL result. That response means that the department is still deciding if they want to admit the candidate (if yes, they'll send an invitation to a Skype interview, which is the test of aptitude) after which they'll then finalize on the candidate's admission status.

Thanks for this information. Please how much does it cost to certify say 20 documents at the German Consulate?

Firstly, certification is free in the consulate.

But you can only certify a maximum of 5 sets of documents per appointment

My opinion is open to corrections, if there's any.
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Deustchemann(m): 9:19am On Jan 12, 2019
BayoMiller:

sorry if may ask, it is compulsory to certify only and the german consulate?

It depends on what your school wants.

I've seen a school that want only public notary.
Most will accept certification from any of the legal issuing bodies.
But some (a prominent example is JMU, Wuerzburg) require that your documents must be certified by the German consulate.
