thanks for your concern yet don't bother your little hating head.

igbo enweghi eze translated means igbos have no king!

no way on God's green earth can the Republican Igbos, in a purely igbo country, be ruled by a maximum ruler. hahaha. not in a zillion years!

y'all can go on with your one zoogeria. nothing do una!

I hate arguing with an inexperienced and uninformed overzealous youth.
Republicanism cannot work in modern world. Even in ancient world republicanism led to chaos, example is ancient Republican Greece, where every city was autonomous. Eventually Greece adopted monarchy.

Republicanism worked in igbo land then because the units were tiny villages with little external threats or influence. If any of the major powers had invade igbo land then, they would have plucked the tiny autonomous villages one by one.

This so called Republicanism is the bane of igbo political disadvantage in the Nigerian nation. No one is seen as the rallying point of the igbos, even Ojukwu had problems rallying the igbos on a common politic cause.
Even Kanu cannot rally the igbos on a common cause. Yes he is worshiped as a god by the poor and not so poor masses, but the political, business and even religious elites hate his guts.

Why are Ohaneze concerned with what Osinbajo or Tinubu are doing in their Amala and ewedu janjawee.d APC party?

Why not face their party PDP or APGA that they have laboured for, while Tinubu is facing his own party that he has laboured for?

Even in PDP, the Yoruba politicians will certainly contest for the 2023 presidential ticket there, just as Ekwueme contested against the victorious Obasanjo in 1998 and 2002 primaries of the PDP when the ticket was last zoned to the entire South.

Don Etiebet, Alabo Graham Douglas, and a host of other Southerners contested the 1998 PDP primaries that Obasanjo won without any entitlements.

The entire North of PDP have had their turn in 2018, with Atiku from NorthEast defeating Tambuwal of NorthWest and Saraki of NorthCentral.

As per PDP rule, the 2023 presidential ticket will be zoned to the entire South, and the SouthWest and SouthSouth will compete for it, since the SouthEast have chickened out of it and have rather shown interest in being deputy to a Northern candidate in continuation of the legacy of mental slavery and inferiority that their ancestors passed on to them.

As for APC, it will do whatever is good for APC without any regard for Ohaneze or PDP that are irrelevant to the party.

You are still talking of intra tribe conflict. Same thing happened in ancient Greece, Rome, China and in fact all nations. Even the US started out Republican.

If republicanism works all societies would not have abandoned it. Republicanism is the most basic primitive form of government. Even the Jews were Republican and always in conflict until David United the 12 tribes.

Also..when the colonials came..the Igbo Came together and fought them for 30yrs ..the highest in the country and Africa

Igbos fought the colonialists for 30 years! You mean the igbos as a tribe fought the British for 30 years? With Spears, bows and arrow?
A feat even the mighty Benin Empire could not match.

Abeg provide evidence and links.

The Biafran crisis was an existential one, just like the Jews during the WW2. The igbos were being massacred in the north and felt they needed a homeland where they would be safe.

This man below knows the truth.

The Igbo elder has advised his tribesmen to work hard like the Yorubas are already doing.

The time they are spending lamenting and attacking Tinubu, Fashola, Oshinbajo and Yorubas generally, they could have spent it traversing the country and engaging other tribes and their trado-political leaders.

Instead the Igboman thinks that such lobbying is beneath him who by delusion is the most qualified to lead Nigeria. While still making out time to mock those politicians from other regions who are already doing the lobbying.

The Igbo man calls those politicians as slaves, yet his answer to the political affront posed by his adversaries is to be a deputy to a Northerner.

When a Northerner, even an Almajiri, promises an Igbo man the deputy position beneath a Northern principal, the Igbo man feels loved and overjoyed like an orphan who never experienced the warm embrace of a loving parent.

To him, it is like a fantasy come true, like Pinocchio searching and finding the Blue fairy so he could become a real boy.

See below what an Igbo elder did when he learnt that a Fulani gworo-chewing Muslim Atiku will chose an Igbo boy to be his deputy. He totally lost his composure and hugged Atiku like the Messiah his dying generation had been waiting to see.

He even said it was his dying wish that his tribe must continue to serve under their Muslim Fulani Northern masters, rather than aspire to the prime position themselves.

What a shame!

Why won't I pontificate to the great igbos on whats best for them, when I am igbo by marriage. Don't you guys pontificate to the greats whites (Americans and the Europeans), after marrying an oyinbo. I know many igbos in London claiming ' I am bri-ish' just because they have British passport courtesy of marriage.

Kim Jong Un also call himself supreme leaders and not supreme ruler. Same thing with the Ayatollah, Ali Khomeini.

This is just politics to enable the igbos voters to cast more votes to APC.
They want to use this medium to draw the igbos attention.. The Yoruba knows it's the time for the igbos but they want the igbos to cast votes for buhari..

Whether we vote him or not, 2023 is certain. Our fate cannot change. Time to see how igbo president will transform this country since other tribes had tried and failed.
God bless the igbo people..

It will be easier for a Cameroonian to rule Nigeria than for an Igbo man.

The TRUTH is bitter, but it most be told.............

What we lack in the East is UNITY.
That is the only thing killing our tribe.
In UNITY we stand.
That saying is GOLDEN!
I have deliberately kept mum on this as I had earlier resolved to speak less on Igbos as regards the 2019 Elections and 2023 Presidency having said quite a bit.

However seeing as some of my brethren have swallowed the cheap bait, I will chip this in just to keep the reality before us, at least for posterity sake. Truth is bitter but it's still the best medicine.

My people say; 'He who does not remember where the rain started beating him, will not remember where it stopped'.

REWIND TO 2014.
A new National Party was being conceived. Political Parties, political players and Regions were being wooed to the new alliance.

'We' Igbos (read South East) vehemently refused to touch it even with a long pole. We packaged, sold to ourselves and bought the baseless propaganda that it was an Islamic alliance that would birth an "Islamic" and "Hausa" Party. Simply because those our brethren heavily invested in the PDP at the time were afraid of losing their vested selfish interests.
Till today I'm still trying to fathom the basis for that wicked and twisted deceit especially as many of those Igbo elites who sold that dummy have since ported to the same APC.

We failed to even identify with that new Alliance. Hence the Party, APC was birthed without any remarkable input from us or presence. The few amongst us who aligned were called all kinds of names and abused to high heavens by us even when they were proven right afterall.

Thus the few Igbos who were part of it were at best fringe players as they didn't have the required clout to make serious demands and do the necessary political wheeling and dealing required in Politics to strike the hard bargains since politics is all about interests and numbers. They were even suspect, so much so that it was only their personal political sagacity that gave them whatever they got.

That Party went on to win the Presidential Election which in truth, most of us never believed it could or would, because of our half baked permutations and poor understanding of Nigerian politics. But it did.

Curiously we turned up at the fore front of telling this same Party how it should share it's 'spoils of war'. We became hypocritical moral champions with an over bloated sense of entitlement. Who does that, in all political reality and practicality? But we did, even while vehemently and vociferously still refusing to shift our position, style and rhethoric.

We dug in. Supported every bad thing and person against the Party, the elected President and the Administration while denying any and every good done to and for our Region.

Fast forward to where we are today. Almost four years after the 2015 misadventure, we have stayed put at 2015, refusing to move forward, refusing to shift grounds, refusing to play pragmatic politics, telling ourselves the same lies we cooked and bought in 2015 and some more.

Just one month to another election, we have started again saying "APC cannot give Presidency to Igbos in 2023". "Buhari cannot hand over to an Igbo man because Buhari hates Igbos". "APC is deceiving you", bla bla bla.

Of course. We will believe Saraki, who has only but a fanthom dream of becoming President and whose only known record is selfishness but we can't believe Buhari who's already President and who has a record of voluntarily picking two great Igbo sons as running mates in the past? Chukwu aju.

It is interesting and vital to note here that the PDP which many of us still proudly support and adore was in power for 16 solid years and in those years there were 4 Presidential Inaugurations and on none of those was an Igbo man found worthy by the PDP of even Vice Presidency and we are still bold to say it is the APC that has not even finished one tenure that doesn't want to give power to Igbos. Odi nma.

NOW; Seriously, let's be sincere. As things stand today politically, why would the APC even hand power to us Igbos in 2023?
On what grounds?
On what records?
On what politics?
Is power given to anyone?
Is it an appeasement or a gift?

The APC is a political party. The main focus of a political Party is to hold power and keep it to enable it deliver on its agenda. So if the APC reads that the SE does not want the Presidency or does not have the capacity to help them win and keep power, they will stick with the regions that can and work with individuals who are interested.

Make no mistake, I have always said, I do not blame us Igbos for the decision majority of us took in 2015. It's our right. But continuing to pretend that it was other regions, Buhari or the APC that made us do what we did then or remain where we are today is purely self deceit and I refuse to play that ostrich game.

As far back as 2014, I and many others made that argument that Igbo Presidency was very feasible in 2023, ONLY under under the APC, ONLY IF we did a couple of things right politically. I personally continued to speak loudly on that even after the 2015 elections until when I realized that we were not ready to play the politics that was required and now I dare say it may be too late. Or is it not? Time will tell.

For now, we can continue to tell ourselves that we cannot hold the Presidency of Nigeria. I heard and read many of our brethren go from PDP to Biafra/seccesion (read IPOB) to Referendum to "Igbos do not need Presidency but Restructuring" etc forgetting that all that didn't lie squarely with us alone. We think other regions are not reading our body language?

I really don't care what Saraki writes or says because they've all come to realize that it's very easy to play us like a flute. So like Saraki, like Fani Kayode, like Fayose, like Atiku, even Jonah Jang of all people, they keep playing us.

I've learnt not to bother myself anymore to avoid unnecessary abuse from nonentities . As some of us have said, it's good governance we want, even if only one village will be producing the Presidents. So be it.
Dr Uche......

Ka Chineke mezie okwu.

IGBOS PLEASE WISE UP!

“If tomorrow the position goes to the South West we do not have any body to blame because they deserve it going by the way they are fighting the agenda.”

-Chief Mbazurike Ameachi

"...the Igbos of today were politically vulnerable and must think of gaining internal strength and controlling its political structure on the home phase more than issue of presidency which he said is being talked about in insulting manner. He said: “Let me say this frankly, given the present alignment of forces or political configuration of Nigeria, nobody is going to give the Igbos presidency either now or 2023. Nobody is going to do that and that’s the pure truth.”

The president general of ADF, Prof. Uzodinma Nwala

"Fast forward to where we are today. Almost four years after the 2015 misadventure, we have stayed put at 2015, refusing to move forward, refusing to shift grounds, refusing to play pragmatic politics, telling ourselves the same lies we cooked and bought in 2015 and some more."

Pls,never you stop talking/contributing on issues like this. If not for anything..but at least to save the future generation of your kind.

Let me add this;
The political leaders of the SE are the one's enslaving the people, by selling to them fake stories, miopic view, just for their wicked and selfish interest.
People like u hold the duty to change that else many more people will have to suffer unknowingly ,due to the greediness n wickedness of those criminals.

Bless U.
God bless Nigeria.

EHEN, SO WHERE IS THE INCONSISTENCY THERE!

igbos were majorly pdp on the national level before MNK reignited the Biafra push. is secession not going to require a referendum and is secession not a restructuring of zoogeria? has ipob been violent in any case?

some of you just come online to talk trash about the Biafra struggle yet have NEVER personally lifted a finger to further the Biafran cause.

keep seeing yourself as a zoogerian until the next quit notice comes around from your "fellow countrymen"!

The only thing that can work for the actualization of 2023 is for the SE to be totally United. Are they United?

The ruling party is APC and where will the SE make -up numbers to win 2023 Presidential election? lipsrsealed embarassed.....Just thinking...

Igbos can't be playing absolute opposition and just because there's an unwritten rotation of presidency they expect it to be handed down to them!!
They are practically not in good terms with any geographical zone to wield the needed desired support to win any election. Just as they are not even in love with themselves to clench power.
Do they even think Atiku has the weight to sway the North to vote in an Igbo president?
The Igbos have made themselves politically irrelevant in the present day system and they have no one to blame but themselves.

Hard truth! In as much as I want to see an IBO President, how will this happen when there is so much dust in the SE air? The disunity of the region is second to none
