1. You are not helping him by encouraging him to lie.

2. No they don't frown at people traveling to the UK for the exam because many in the thread have succeeded in doing that.

You don't understand. People have succeeded....Yes! But that's for plab 2 not by saying you're going for plab 1 cos we have centres here. Its not a hidden fact! Every doctor knows this...The chances are slim.

@justwise You need confirm if that thread was for plab 1 or 2

Plab2 is only written in the UK thus, you must travel.

She can send a message and I'll add her to the WhatsApp group for doctors in Nigeria taking plab so she can ask her questions there. There are over 1000 doctors that are in the process/done and working in the UK, so I'm sure they'll advice her.

Good morning house. Please I want to confirm from those that have used UK NARIC to prove their English language proficiency for Tier 2 visas. Is it the STATEMENT OF COMPARABILITY and ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY that is needed to get from UK NARIC or VISA AND NATIONALLY STATEMENT? Please a brother needs our help. Thanks

I don't think you get his point. The plab exam is in 2 parts. The part 1 is written twice a year in Nigeria in three different centres in the country. The part 2 is only written in the UK.

If you tell the ECO you are going to write plab 1 in the UK, then the question becomes why can't you write it in your country when you have three different centres? It's not impossible to get visa for plab 1 but based on the experience of a lot of people that I know, it's a daunting task.

For the part 2, it's quite easy. The exam is only written in the UK. The ECO knows this.

What most people do is to apply for a visiting visa and then write the exam then. It's certainly not a crime to write an exam when you are on a visiting visa. It's never a violation of the terms of your visa.

I still maintain my previous comment.

There are many universities in Nigeria still people pay millions to study in the U.K. despite the fact that it’s far cheaper to study the same course in Nigeria.

People have different reasons why they prefer writing the exam in the U.K. than in Nigeria, so you need to convince the ECO why you preferred writing it in the U.K.

It’s a crime because the cost of that exam was not included in the application and you did mention it.

@smilz
@adegoks1234

The reason she wants to write it in the UK is because there are no more open slots in Nigeria until November.

Those two will be given to you separately all addressed to UKBA

@Justwise, I know this is quite unrelated but do you have an idea where i could submit a Bahamas visa application in Nigeria? I've read online that the British High Commission accepts Visa Applications on their behalf but both (BHC centres) said they don't accept applications for the said country when i called them this afternoon. Anyone Help Please.

Am confused because I read on NARIC website that there is another statement called VISA AND NATIONALITY though the price is different from that of COMPARABILITY AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY so I want to know if i request for COMPARABILITY AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY PROFICIENCY alone it will be enough to show as proof. Did you understand what am saying sir?

Hello...
Please is it counterproductive to use a bank loan to apply for tier 2 visa in order to travel to write exam in the UK?.
Does UKVI frown at it?,meanwhile the person has a stable job with regular salary but currently short of funds.

@justwise and other mods, please help

Good morning to everyone in the house and especially to the mods

I applied for a UK visa last year as a first timer and i got it, traveled for 10 days and returned, i want to re-apply along with my wife and the only reason is to celebrate our 15th anniversary together

My circumstances hasn't changed from the last time i applied, my wife isn't in a paid employment but she has a farm with the allocation papers issued by the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, our children will be taken to the school boarding house during the period we will be away, or they can stay with my mum because they will be in school at the period

What are our chances, considering the fact that my wife's account isn't the regular big inflow and out flows, i had a friend accomodate me the last time, should we use same or we use a hotel booking?

Your advise will be greatly appreciated

Ok sir. I will apply for VISA AND NATIONALITY. Though I was in the UK before as a Tier 2 general migrant and left in 2016 without applying for leave to remain. When I applied i only presented my degree certificate and a letter from my university to proof English language proficiency. So I don't know if it's necessary to still show my English language proficiency through NARIC again for my new Tier 2 application or I don't have to. I mean if 10 points will be given to me based on Previous Tier 2 visa.

Hello Dear Nairalanders,i made costly mistake,i applied for a tier 2 visa with sponsorship, but I forgot to submit my TB certificate at the Abuja visa center,I later approached the guy who attended to me,but he said he has posted the scanned documents and that there is nothing to worry about.
Its past 15 working days as stated on their mail for visa processing but am yet to get any feed back.
What can I do at this time?
Will this amount to an outright visa refusal?

Finally I got my visa today.
Thank you everyone that helped,I got a mail from ukvi with a link to upload the ommitted document ,that was about 40 days after my application.
Visa was approved 2 days later

Have you gone through the guidance note to see if you need to evaluate it again since you have successfully applied before?

Go through the guidance note first to see if there is any help.

If there is non then go ahead and evaluate it else you will be refused without NARIC supporting letter
