Gudevening beautiful people. Pls I really want to inquire about POF. My husband and I have money saved in a joint account since June/July last year which shud be enough as pof for a family of 6. It was a one time deposit. We just got ITA in dis last draw. And by the time we wud be required to show pof, dat account wud have been over 6months old. We just have a few transactions going on in dat account. My question is: do we need any letter of explanation for that? Since it was a one time deposit some time in June last year?

Secondly, at what stage in the PR application will biometrics be required? And will it be required 4 all members of d family including kids?

Thirdly, since I have subsisting canadian visiting visa and had done biometrics den, will I be required to have anoda one done 4 d purposes of dis PR application?
Thanks 4 ur anticipated answers

I applied for EOR (MOD) 21th Dec 2018, I sent a follow up mail to idpaustralia (copied idp Nigeria) today enquiring on the status, I got a response from idpaustralia that they are yet to get my request from my test center (Nigeria).
I'm yet to get a response from MOD Nigeria though.
I don't know what to do again.

I will advice you to either call them or go to their office if you are in Lagos. I applied on 20th December, 2018. I picked my updated trf last Wednesday at their office.

I saw a comment on a whatsapp group where someone said it's not necessary to submit 6months statement if one is using Treasury Bills as POF. I'd like to get a second opinion on this. Is this correct? Save a brother from wasting time please

Please people, I got an ITA in this last draw and currently filling the application. I would like to know if it's compulsory my spouse needs to submit reference letter from his employer.
I am the PA while he is a dependant.

Another question does my spouse need references for any employment indicated in personal history?

1. Only print your 6 months statement and/or bank letter stating your avg 6 months balance. LOE not needed.
2.You get biometrics instructions about 30- 45 days after AOR nowadays which usually coincides with Medical passed. Biometrics is required for adults only except maybe any of your kids are above 14 or thereabouts

3.Yes a new biometrics is required every time you apply for express entry, even though your UCI will remain thesame

It's correct. If you're using TBills or FD, no need for 6 Months statement

No and No. Move all his employment details to personal history and don't bother with reference letters.

It is not compulsory to submit his work reference letter, but it is advisable to do so especially if a large chunk of your POF would come from him.

After payment, include slip and all the required documents and address to VFS. Also you can pay for a return envelope when it's ready you call the courier to go back and pick it up or add 10k (check for the excat sum on their site )to the processing sum and VFS will courier it back to you

Good evening my people of God! How una dey? Trust we all day a great day. The day was a very busy one oh, that's why I have delayed my story till now. Make una no vex biko.

My PPR Story is now done, make una grab seats and enjoy with me. Meanwhile, my writing skill no dey okay like that oh, una go just help me accept am like that noni grin.

Okay here we go!

IELTS - 1st Feb 2018 (L8.5 R9 W6.5 S7), ordered for a remark and it came out as L8.5 R9 W7 S7.5 - I used the Cambridge books shared on this forum. Wifey did not write

ECA - 25th July 2018 (I missed ITA on this day cos ECA came out around 2:30pm). Wifey's ECA was very fast though.

ITA - 8th August 2018

AOR. - 25th September 2018

Biometric Request - 24th October, Completed 29th October

Medical Passes - 2nd Nov. 2018

PPR - 5:58am 15th January 2019

Story in Full

I was never a fan of leaving Nigeria until October 2014, when I just relocated to Abuja. I was in one of my paddy's house and heard him discussing with his aunt about FSWP. I picked interest suddenly and then joined him nah so we start. We were mis-informed then that we would have to get a Canadian Immigration lawyer to be able to scale through. So we employed Abrams & krochak and started paying those guys oh. We spent about 1.3m individually and nothing came out of it. Our ECA came out after about 6 months with ICAS Canada. When Abrams started asking for money payment, I just jejely told my fried that I quit, cos for about a year, we were busy completing one single form oh, we will fill it and he will send it back that we have to re-fill. This went on for like 4 times so I got tired and decided to let it go.

Fast forwarded to 2016, I started thinking about leaving this country again and was introduced to the US study VISA thread. I started following the thread, and by April 2016, I had registered to write GRE for PhD study in the US. The result came out but was not enough to get me an admission with funding, a total of 297 (V:150, Q147 & AW: 4.0). At this time I was advised from the forum to write TOEFL (another test of English I had been running away from) as that would boost my chances of getting funding. I wrote and scored 97, but then, it got me admission in 2 schools but no funding. I quit again as I had no means of raising fund to study for PhD degree.

But in January 2017, My new year resolution was to ensure I do everything humanly possible to relocate from this Naija. then I started following this thread but only during my most free periods, so I was not really concentrating. It then made the whole process look too tough for me to complete, though I was not scared of IELTS any longer since I had written TOEFL already. But I could not start.

Then the next month I stumbled on the Canadian Study VISA thread as I was already stylishly eyeing Canadian Schools. I applied to UAlberta, UofT, and two other schools, In short, I got MBA admission into Rotman's Business School but yet no funding.

Then by October 2017, I told wifey I was not interested anymore and came back to this thread oh, she tried convincing me to stick to one plan as it wasn't good the way I have been jumping from one to another without seeing it through. By that time some of the people I was reading their post had gotten COPR and I was still yet to start. I then started with ECA, and the rest was history

ITA
I missed the draw of July 25th Because my ECA report came in that same morning and I was on my way to Lagos from Abuja by road, Nah so network fail me oh. e pain me die as I missed ITA just with 12 mins

POF - Family of 4; I used 100% Gift Deed and also supported it with my Pension Certificate. I fixed the fund for two months and had to roll over three times, the last one being just last Friday and the confirmation mail came in just 20mins before the PPR mail grin I also submitted my six months salary account statements even though shingbain no dey inside. buhahahahahaha

LETTER OF EXPERIENCE
I got letters from my last employer only and didn't bother to include the current employer since I had only spend barely two months at that time. I also did and LOE to explain this part. the LOE also covered name issue on wifey and first son's passport, together with their 'same and one person' affidavit.

Medicals - (My greatest challenge even though I knew many people scaled through this) I had ADR for additional test due to my HBV status and that delayed a bit until 2nd November before I could pass medicals. The request came actually before AOR cos our medicals was upfront at Consultants Practice, but was not ready until after Biometric request as because I was using one very meticulous Gastro from Lagos Island General Hospital.

This is the end of my Story ooooh cool

Oya, Prof Ralph, come and give me my 10/10....I cannot coman go an kee myself

But before I leave, I wish to sincerely appreciate everyone on this thread especially @Newmum, Chai... That lady unknowingly did a lot for me on this journey. At a time, I was only interested in whatever she writes cos they were always addressing my issues directly then. May God in his infinite mercies continue to bless her and everyone on this journey, both the landed seniors, newly approved and the Jambites among us.

We will all have a a reason to laugh last by the special grace of God. I am happy today because God has crowned all my long time effort and it has finally ENDED IN PRAISE. cheesy

Once again I thank God and I am thanking everyone here.

PEACE!!!

Its PPR!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I don join oh!
Thank you Jesus!
You are indeed a faithful God, even in our unfaithfulness!

This whole journey started around September, 2017. Did my first international pp. Started WES registration and didn't continue. Lost the zeal and moved on!
In March 2018, I picked interest and decided to start with ielts. Took 2mths to convince hubby( with prayers o). By May we registered for ielts for a July date cos I needed 1whole mth+ to read and get ready! We took the test and got good scores at one sitting!

The journey to and fro IMSU started for ECA, using WES, we missed the waec palaver by 1wk,(God at work). ECA got ready at the end of September.

Profile was created with crs of 444. We expected ITA at the October 3 draw, but God had other plans, and it was cut at 445. We had booked medicals at IOM, Abuja for October 8. We thought of cancelling and rebooking.
(Those of you who live in Abuja and Lagos don't know what we go through). We went ahead on a journey of faith, to Abuja not knowing what the next draw would be! On the 15th a Monday draw was held and BOOM, ITA landed!

Everything was ready!
2work reference letters in CIC format.
Bank reference letter
Gift deed from my mum
Deed of sale
2FD certificates.
PCC
Medical form
Passports
Affidavit of name change
Education documents!

Payment made and AOR received immediately!
The wait started,
First mail 28days,later an ADR, labelled schedule A, asking for more info on my background for a certain period! ( Didn't know BC had started)! I filled and submitted same day.
3days after MEP &BIL landed.
Another travel to Abuja for biometrics, hmmmm, not easy at all!

85 days after AOR Ghost update showed,
And after 88days came the golden mail!

May HIS name be praised!

JULY 7th IELTS L8.5,R8.5,S7,W7.5
ECA September 26
CRS 444
ITA October 15, Monday.
AOR 0ctober 18
IP2; from AOR, not sure though
ADR November 16, Schedule A for background info.
MEP & BIL November 19
BIL submitted November 23.
Ghost update January 13
PPR January 14!

Thank you Jesus!
Receive all praise Oh Lord!

My mail did state we should submit to any visa office, hope that is not a problem. I don't know if anybody has submitted via courier. I would like to seek advice and guidance as the info on their website is not very clear.
Thanks

PEACE!!!

Hi all, pls is there anyone who used NYSC as one year work experience and got Reference letter directly from them.
A friend was posted to serve in a school that does not have any online presence, hence the challenge to use the school's details for her work experience. She would like to know if she can state NYSC as her major place of work experience, and if anyone ever got a Ref Letter from them. She served in Lagos. Thanks
