Edited it to February, that is the tentative date, it is my hope that passport will arrive any moment from now.

Has it been approved in your profile? Have you mailed Accra if not?

Fingers crossed though

You need to go back to part 1 to understand Maternal. Ignore his insults and pick his advice. He is like that. If you like form a group against him, he is not moved. That is just him.
Honestly that's just complete balderdash. That he is "like that" is no justification for replying the man that way. The advice could have been conveniently saved if it was going to come at the cost of belittlement. Now that we know even how sensitive the man's situation is, we see how wrong on so many levels the response was. It just isn't acceptable.

We will keep praying for maternal to surrender his life and turn a new leaf.

Bros no vex. But to address everyone who claims I'm insulting. The application process to get PR is not easy. You can't tell me, especially as a business man, you and your wife did not sit down and discuss the move across the Atlantic ocean. You're making it seem like you randomly applied today, then got it the next day. Then to say "i have decided to go with them and settle down in Canada for the sake of my children". That's pure BS. If business was booming like that, you'd do a soft landing then be flying back and forth in the meantime. Also that statement sets up your children to be blamed for any mishaps that may occur when in Canada. Such as: "see junior, I'm in this position because I came here because of you". Leave the children out of this.

But back to the matter. All you had to say was me and my wife planned this migration and I am extremely nervous leaving all I know for a new country. Can anyone help me with business or employment ideas as the day is reaching, and my nerves are getting the best of me. Is that so hard ? The rest is unnecessary. It's ok for a man to admit their scared. I believe people have answered your question. Find out what interests you, then research how to achieve it.
maternal, you too dey insult person here,I don't know you but I'll go and wait for you at the airport with my boys, the day we go catch you, abeg no go fit help you

Maternal goofed here biko. Please, bro apologise to Deaven and let's move on.

Deaven, I wish I could hug you and your family right now. I am.currently carrying out my thesis research on Inclusion ( Students living with disabilities of all sorts and how to integrate them into the society after their studies) I completely understand what you have gone through with her in a society like Nigeria where no provision is made for people living with disabilities.

You and your wife took a very wise decision in choosing to come over to Canada for her sake. Like Vcole said, see how your business can be restructured in a way you still run it from here without necessarily being there physically all the time. Getting trusted individuals is key and I pray you are favored.
Whilst you are here, you can look into entrepreneurship and see if that is what you would like to go into. At the same time, you can get jobs with your engineering degree ( people who have gone that route here can guide you).

My sincere prayer is that Canada favours you and.your entire family. All the very best.

Am going to reply for the sake of others that needed help and come online to share part of their story so they not discourage by comment like urs

My daughter is physically challenged from birth but i will not like to go into details of her disability but sometime last year , my wife came up with the idea of going to Canada ,the first thing that come to mind is how disable people are well accepted in Canada society ,they can school , go on bus and many public places have facilities for disable people, hearing that alone bring relieve and joy to my heart because we have visit France, Dubai,Holland, hong kong ,uk and usa on family holiday and I have seen how disable people are well integrated into this societies despite there physical challenges..and i remember my wife telling me then that she will

Congratulations to you and your family on receipt of your PR status. As a father myself, I understand the motivation behind you pursuing this course of action and your reaching out to gather information that will aid your integration. It takes a big minded person to pour your inner most thoughts and fears into the open like this, you have my deepest admiration.

Nothing like hypeman. She's only telling you from experience that if given the choice of maternal + bad mouth or no maternal, most people here will choose maternal + bad mouth. Doesn't stop you from correcting but if your correction is always in vain, just take the advice and face front.

You're limiting their choices, if there is no maternal, there could be S.alford's, blac.kbuddy's, six.sigma's etc.

Anyway he's apologized to the man.
Let's enjoy the thread.

Hi Guys,

I have a question!

I submitted my application Aug 2018 as a single applicant and got married in December. I informed CIC before and after the marriage about my change of status and that I want to include my spouse in my application. I never got an address in my account about the additional docs, instead an agent told me to just submit the Background forms, additional family information forms, proof of payment, etc as a single document in the CIC case web form. While gathering the supporting documents for my spouse, I got an E-mail that my application is about to be approved and that I should update my application by Email (I was given an Email address) and another step was that I should send my passport for the PR visa.

I responded to that E-mail with my wife's documents and forms that has been filled but I did not get any acknowledgement and my status was never updated neither did it show that my wife has been included in my application.

I have not sent my passport to them because I want to wait and insist that my wife be added with my application instead of having to wait to get PR and start thinking of sponsorship which takes very long time.

All the cases I have read of people adding their spouses, they usually got an address on their account and usually knew when their spouse was added because there will be additional slot for them to upload supporting documents instead of Email.

I will appreciate any information or advice from anyone who has had similar experience

Continuuu... be supporting bad behavior. Elder or ancestor, I don’t care! The others that answered the man in a civilized manner, do they have two heads?
Now the man gave us a background story. You can see why you don’t just type anything that comes to your mind and be more sensitive. Even his so called apology was filled with insults.

This should not be addressed to me. My initial comment did address his harsh tone. If you have an issue with Maternal, please address him directly. Don't come at me - probably because you figure I'm an easier target.

Pls who knows anything about Optometry and Optometrist. Which province favours Optometrists, how to go around the bridging program, what likely profession to start up with before you get licensed.

Any Optometrist on this thread, how has it been?

I’m surprised this is coming from you, I read your posts when you felt offended that people came At you for sharing your experience and how you told them to jump and pass if they can’t show empathy, and now you’re here telling us to accept a type of behaviour, nawa o, it is well

2. Find out what interests you then map out a plan on how to achieve it in Canada. Right now your braining is running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
