Some people think these streetlights is a waste but I believe Owerri deserves the uniqueness it has given coupled with the well painted uniform Taxi scheme. 2 Likes

Afam4eva:same with me, but don’t have that time to post it on YouTube. It’s over an hour video. I covered all of new Owerri, world bank, Amakoiah/ Orlu road, egbeadan road, ikenegu/Aladinma, urrata, egbu, nekede/ihiagwa wethedral, old road, new market, and the whole of new Owerri. I intentionally took my time to drive round Owerri and it was worth it. If not for some places with bad roads I counted over 20 new magnificent hotels under construction and smaller ones springing up in Owerri. Like it’s so crazy mehn. All Owerri needs now is good road and tourist attractions. 1 Like |

Afam4eva:i appreciate the widening of orji/okigwe and mbari roads..what has mbari center being turned to?last i remember it became a joint..however the medians on those roads are poor quality as usual |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by asha80(m): 10:22am On Jan 17, 2019 |
Afam4eva:it will pretty ironic if after everything palm trees are not planted in an organized way within this campus or any tree at all..the fallow open spaces isnt just it 1 Like |

asha80:My thoughts exactly. I kinda get turned off by lack of trees. Since the school is still under construction, i'm hoping that trees will be planted in the median. 1 Like |

Afam4eva: I think the idea of Eastern Palm University is to reflect the age-long belief that eastern Nigeria was once the hub of oil palm production in Nigeria. However, planting palm trees on the periphery of the varsity will be an awesome idea. Thanks for the videos |

asha80: The old Mbari is now the Imo traditional rulers parliament which was the last place they drove into on the video. There's a new Mbari kitchen at Nworie river bank near Freedom Square. 1 Like

Afam4eva: Started from Spibat road via Orji flyover then Okigwe road and Mbari street. All the roads were built by Okorocha especially Spibat the road I display below which wasn't in existence as a tarred road in 2011. 2 Likes

asha80:I wished they extended the road widening down to akabo, Amawozuzu, Amalim and attah. The kind of tracffic on that road due to its narrow finalization done by ohakim, this Xmas was hell. Especially starting from orji. It was terrible. Going from orji to Amawozuzu on a free road won’t take more than 10 to 15mins but this Xmas on some days were over 6hrs. It was worse on new year day. I almost cried. I took off from the mall around 6 but I got home at iho few minutes to 12. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ozibe: 11:55am On Jan 17, 2019 |
Abagworo: This road is another road I enjoyed and would be another highbrow in future with the massive hotels and multi stores building along that road. Ther is also a massive school being built along the road. You can’t find any 2storey there. It all starts from 3storey with wide roads, straight down to orji flyover. 1 Like 1 Share |

Afam4eva: No I didn't but got it online. Will be in Owerri February and will get good photos. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ozibe: 12:07pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
Afam4eva: No, not that. ROFOCA has the roundabout opposite it. The massive school is by the left, going further, when heading towards Orji flyover. It’s a 2 or 3 story building, can’t remember. But the school is massive and lengthy |

Ozibe:although i agree with you on the dualization up to attah but i disagree that the dualization is the major issue of the traffic you encountered..it is mostly the heavy influx of people in to imo for the yuletide(owerri umuahia federal highway also experienced such with the peak being the ahiara junction logjam) and most importantly not enough detour roads off that axis of owerri okigwe highway |

Where's the useless old man called abagworo? So all of a sudden afam4eva and asha80 are no longer chino? Simply because they are not busting you yet. See how you are now chatting with happiness with them but when they turn around to say the bitter truth, they become Chino . These are their posts few weeks back. 1 Like

Useless old man. Make i hear you mention Chino on this thread again. Hopeless propagandist. The same place we all know as if there's another Owerri apart from the one described in words and pictures by afam and asha. Otondo |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ozibe: 12:54pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
asha80: You right about the influx of people. But from what I gathered, on a normal day, that road usually jamparked. Especially at Nwkorji where u have the orji market that rochas destroyed with the aim of rebuilding it but abandoned it. If only they can expand that road it will be good. Orji is becoming crowded with people moving in because of low rent and new development going on in the inter land. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ozibe: 12:56pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
Asshurbanipall:bro, there is no need for all these. Just sheath your sword. Peace. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ozibe: 1:02pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
Abagworo: Amakohia is another part of Owerri with massive real estate development. Coming in from Ellen sirleaf Road. You will think you are in an estate construction site in lekki and you begin to wonder “who are those building these houses, where are they making these monies from? Is it not this same buhari’s Nigeria where everybody is shouting recession?” 1 Like |

I have been trying to upload some of my pictures but I guess the size of my pictures is a challenge. I snapped them with my iPhone and I think the least size is not less than 5mb. Any suggestion on what to do? |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by jamjo: 2:00pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
Abagworo: Please please please my people you all who are on the ground please can you all suggest to Okorocha to just plant trees and forget all the concrete, metal and plastic palm trees. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Abagworo(m): 2:16pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
jamjo: Trees have already been planted at the median but this is harmattan. Expect to see them sprout when the weather changes. |

Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Asshurbanipall: 2:24pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
Lol Mad man why not prove it by placing the two monikers side by side to shame Chino. Or has the same afan4eva and asha10 ever denied making such comments? At least they are both here. Useless old man filled with propaganda Abagworo: |
