firstolalekan: unilag isn't in the top 3 either and UNN is 4 and that is still a high level of competition and why'd u have to bring triablism to this don't u think u have a problem? 3 Likes 1 Share |

firstolalekan: that's not true. the schools you mentioned admit purely on merit. few Yoruba and Hausa opt for UNN, Yoruba feel their western schools are okay that's why they are not much in UNN. One of UNN's DVCs is a Yoruba man, the chancellor is the oni of ife too, check your facts before accusing Igbo falsely. 3 Likes |

marvinsync: Don't mind him and his likes. if UNN is doing badly, they will say their western schools are superior. if UNN is doing well, they will accuse her of tribalism and biase. no one is as competitive as the Igbo in Nigeria, we are everywhere, i mean EVERYWHERE, (business, trade, academia) that cannot be said in THE SAME BREATHE about others with all due respect. 4 Likes |

IDRWFB: You're welcome. By the way, I'm from the Eastern part of the country, not within Catchment, not within ELDS. Purely on merit and it worked without man-know-man; Most of my colleagues I've had a chat with, too. So, I think the bribery thing is similar to every "Nigeria" school you hold at high esteem. They adhere to the published cut off marks, and theirs is unique in my opinion. |

Re: The Best Universities (public And Private) In Nigeria For MBBS? by famzynet: 9:47pm On Jan 17, 2019 |
linzeze: I totally agree with you. I can tell you a lot about MBBS UNN. UNN is very much transparent with their MBBS admission merit list, just that it is highly competitive . But they consider educationally less developed areas. A northerner or Westerner applying to UNN has much higher chances of getting admission than an easterner. This is because UNN considers geopolitical zones and they tend to take people from all the zones. But northerners and westerners hardly apply to UNN because they believe their schools will consider them more and that is why they are scanty there. Northerners hardly apply to UNN but I know few westerners that did and they got admission at lower cut off than Unilag will offer them. The competition is already there for Easterners as they all flood UNN.Let me give you an example, around 2002,MBBS cut off for Anambra state at UNN was 278.Westerners with JAMB scores of 265 got admission because they were very few. People from the east with Jamb score of 275 were denied admission. But a guy from Taraba with JAMB score of 216 appeared on the merit list and he got admision( even though he was wiped out of the department after first year as he failed more than one first year course. The rule then was expulsion out of the department if you fail more than one of the first year courses and the guy failed more than 5 courses). 1 Like |

famzynet:2017 MBBS merit cutoff 290 2018 MBBS merit cutoff 250. Admission in UDUS is usually base on UTME score only, if thing does not changed. |
Re: The Best Universities (public And Private) In Nigeria For MBBS? by IDRWFB(m): 3:59pm On Jan 18, 2019 |
Alanine1123:That means I would've been in school by now. :oIgnorance is really bad. The distance is much though. |
Re: The Best Universities (public And Private) In Nigeria For MBBS? by Alanine1123: 7:12pm On Jan 18, 2019 |
IDRWFB: Lolz. D higher the UTME score, the higher the admission chance and state of origin plays important role. Many people from Lagos are studying in UDUS, people from south south geopolitical zone are also found there, i am from south west, so distance should not be an obstacle. 1 Like |

Buzzer99: Your aggregate is 307.5, this is not close to the cut off mark. Where is the 'unn ain't transparent at all?" If you applied to UI or unilag, believe me you won't still get in with such score. 1 Like |
