To me, I think many of we ladies and married women misbehaves whenever we are privilege to have some properties. So I think it's better to let our husband aware of any steps we want to take.. Some men will even approved and support it.

This usually happens when a working class married woman does not contribute anything to the house while banking her money and being a leech to the stupid man.
For me it's a signal of divorce that we may not be in it forever

If you are married to an egoistic dream killer that believes you acquiring properties will make his blokos shrink, please buy without his knowledge, take your documents and keep in the bank for storage!! Keep buying and preserving the docs in the banks vault.
Dont allow him pressure you to add his name to your property, if he so desperately wants a propertt he should buy

First check what you value most and decide. Your marriage or properties. The circumstances behind your marriage might be a leading factor. Like some ladies go ahead and marry a man whose not in love with them for obvious reasons.

the woman should not buy a land or house in her name. it should be in both their names if there is love in the home. we are talking about a home. in case the man dies, for example, the woman still have her property and the othr way around. i think that one of the main reason a married woman may want to buy a priperty in her name will be to avoid the husband family wahala in case the man is no more.
A marriage will most likely experience serious turmoil if a woman acquires property on her own. for me thats not a marriage except the man okays it for their reasons.

that said, some marriages are in perculiar situations. as long as the man is put in the know and plan from conception, both of them can agree to use only the womans name.
the normal thing to do is for both man and woman to use their names afterall they have sworn to live together for better or for worse.

The bolded is also a major factor. Some husbands even purchase some properties in their wives name only because of this reason.

Any property she acquires before marriage is technically hers and such can remain in her name. In marriage, whatever anybody buys, remains in our collective names. If we don't buy in our collective name (Mr & Mrs.), then we buy in our children's name(s).
If you want to acquire properties in your own name and surname, please do before marriage.
