You don’t sell your agenda by making yourself vulnerable to potentially deathly blows from other challengers who don’t hold the title you are fighting for.
Instead of pillorying Atiku for not taking part in the debate, we should question the other candidates for agreeing to participate in a meaningless dueling match with each other when the defending champion who holds the crown they want to grab chose to run away. Buhari is incumbent ruler, he does not even have to campaign to win election. He should just send out his designates to do campaign for him and he will win....without showing face to grassroot. That's how much power resides in that office.

ATIKU wants to displace the incumbent ruler, he should be the one in Buhari position out on campaign train and winning hearts. He has his work cut out for him....he has to work triple the effort to remove the incumbent.

Instead of travelling and criss-crossing Nigeria he is going to Dubai, going to London, going to Washington DC. …..he is abandoning opportunity to speak to electorate and win hearts because Buhari did not show up.

The only reason atiku refused to participate in the debate is fear. The man is scared of being embarrassed by the other candidates.
