Buhari is incumbent ruler, he does not even have to campaign to win election. He should just send out his designates to do campaign for him and he will win....without showing face to grassroot. That's how much power resides in that office.

ATIKU wants to displace the incumbent ruler, he should be the one in Buhari position out on campaign train and winning hearts. He has his work cut out for him....he has to work triple the effort to remove the incumbent.

Instead of travelling and criss-crossing Nigeria he is going to Dubai, going to London, going to Washington DC. …..he is abandoning opportunity to speak to electorate and win hearts because Buhari did not show up. grin grin

Buhari is doing something ATIKU is not doing....mingling with grassroots. grin grin

....athiefkUlooter ran away from the debate with silly and dumb excuse that PMB did not show us, but he knew PMB was in Jos so why bother to show up and do his goofy makeup if not to stage his dumb drama that backfired.

Funny enough, the so called lifeless PMB is headlining massive and major rallies all over the country back to back, even with massive support in traditional PDP strongholds including Jos they ignorantly though will abandon PMB, but we saw the raw passion, determination and support for PMB while clueless athiefKulooter.

athiefKulooter is dumb, even his handlers and thinkers are dumber.

if only you know the chaos his coming caused yesterday

What ipobs call chaos is what Nigerians call love, support and resolve to get PMB re-elected.

We saw it in Akwa Ibom, we saw it in Kaduna, we saw it in Jos and Niger state., it's even comingto a town near you.

There's a difference between Nigerians and ipobs with your typical doom, gloom, bitterness and frustration talk.

so he is actually partisan and has been pretending to be generally objective....

They actually missed the danger and obvious trap they fell into with their staged drama.

Obviously, it wasn't about Nigerians, it was about his ego and need to attack PMB, but PMB and his people saw his usual desperate tactics and too that podium away from him.

He'll keep chasing shadows till PMB's swearing in ceremony.

Nigerians assuredly recognizes the options before us come February 2019, obviously the right choice is an Atiku team[A-Team] at the helm of affairs. Every vote cast for Wazirin Adamawa will be an eloquent repudiation of the A.P.C. government, our votes will mark an epoch as well as monuments for us and generation yet unborn because through the ballot box we will challenge sense of lethargy ,hopelessness, resignations, frustrations and the hypocrisy of an oppressive capricious A.P.C led government . An Atiku Presidency will further defeat the militating factors that impede our journey to a deserved greatness amongst the comity of nations. In deference to President Obama and for our people in the intervening months leading up to the elections, Our votes will proclaim “an end to the petty grievances, lopsided corruption, insurgency, nepotism and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas that for so long have strangled our politics” Alhaji Atiku Abubakar buoyed by the audacity of hope on your imminent emergence as the next civilian President of our beloved country. I make bold to write that your mandate to rule Nigeria come 2019 is a “divine call” merely vested on you in trust and as a caretaker for the masses of Nigeria. It is neither for any emerging cabal nor political mongers even the over patronized elites cannot appropriate undue benefits. It would be in recognition of the “unsung, uncelebrated and anonymous Nigerians. Men and women scattered across the country

Atiku can never be the right choice for a country he destroyed.

Buhari and Atiku are both scare of questions that would have been asked by Nigerians, that is their reasons for hiding from the debate ground both has nothing to offer Nigerians except fake promises.

The absence of both Buhari and Athiefku at the debate has not changed anything.

Present or absent, both candidates have their supporters locked down and the debate would not have changed their mind.

The question is, where will Athiefku's votes come from?

Only politically ignorant will ask same question about Buhari having witnessed his campaigns in Akwa-Ibom, Delta, Kogi, Plateau, Niger and Edo states. The more a section hates him, the more his supporters love him.
are u saying pmb ll win delta and akwa ibom dos crowd in rallies no reach 100k and for sm states u ve got over one million prospective voters...buhari might win but u shd know d south south south south east are not his advantage areas...d middle belt and south west is d battle ground for d elections

To me debate or no debate does not determine the out come of an electoral poll. Our previous leaders (Tafawa Balewa,Shehu Shagari,MKO Abiola (not allowed to rule),OBJ,etc, who performed well at the polls and eventually won their way to the nation's apex seat did not engage in any electoral debate.

We,in Nigeria take unnecessary things and try to make them necessary.Just like going to overseas to campaign and sell and political agenda to them as if they're the ones going to vote us in or the ones we're going to rule over.

In Nigeria we need to grow up and emancipate ourselves from copy-copy slavery and be who we're.

What we ought to be concerned of is their individual credibility, sincerity, love for the country and her people, and not self and cronies mindedness.
d democracy was copied too so d debate is part of it...otherwise let's stick to monarchy

The presidential debate is designed to be a match--or, if you like, a push and pull-- between the defending champion, i.e., Buhari, and contenders to the title he holds, i.e., Atiku, Moghalu, Madam Oby, Sowore, and others. If the defending champion declines to thrown his hat into the ring, the entire match becomes pointlessly self-injurious to the challengers. In other words, it would have been a fatal strategic and tactical error for Atiku to partake in a potentially bruising contest with other challengers while the defending championing sits pretty somewhere unhurt.

I’ve read other people suggest that Atiku, being Buhari’s closest challenger, should have used the opportunity of the debate to sell himself to Nigerians. Well, that’s what #NgTheCandidates town hall chat is there for. You don’t sell your agenda by making yourself vulnerable to potentially deathly blows from other challengers who don’t hold the title you are fighting for.

Instead of pillorying Atiku for not taking part in the debate, we should question the other candidates for agreeing to participate in a meaningless dueling match with each other when the defending champion who holds the crown they want to grab chose to run away.

I was waiting for someone yoto say this. You spoke my mind jare. Why will they even accept to go ahead with the debate without Buhari? Is it entertainment or a reality show. They're there to outdo themselves for the top job, for crying out load. angry

Let all those BMCs pretending to be Atiku's potential supporters go and hug transformer. Didn't they see Buhari to blame?

Mtcheew.

In as much as the debate was an avenue for atiku to talk about his plans and all that, I go with the writer...it was tactical to have declined...debate is different from town hall meeting.... In debate, every contestant must be present so the debate can be interesting....why was the obi vs osibanjo debate very interesting? Cos both of them were there...so for buhari not to show up , made the debate a charade!

If you want to hear ATIKU out clearly and in a more relaxed atmosphere, watch him at the town hall meeting on the 30th on NTA....That is the platform Nigeria should be looking forward to...not the debate that the main contender did not show up..I just hope Nigerians will understand the difference between the two.

But do you realize No PDP PRESIDENTIAL candidate attend Presidential debate Ever,
OBJ, JONATHAN, YARADUA did not attended and Buhari attended without minding other absent Candidate
ATIKU IS NOT THAT SERIOUS OR MAY BE HE LOSS HIS CHANCE

You still don't understand my submission...Atiku has not lost any chance because there is a better platform where he can extensively talk about his plans to Nigerians... The Candidates on NTA...which is the town hall meeting to me is a better platform... Coming up on the 30th of January.... The debate is time bound, he cannot talk much there and more so, its suppose to be a competition... Buhari has once missed previous debates too....so what are you saying....?
