charlesemeka85: Sunderland are in a very tricky position. If they sell the best striker in the league they may not get promoted and the £2-5 million thay get for him will seem quite stupid. If they keep him and he helps them back into the championship and goes for nothing it will still be worth it. Where will they buy a quality striker to replace him without spending big. Thier best option is to hold on to him. He will definitely get another 10 goals that should get them in the Championship. Championship promotion equates to a lot more money than the paltry £2-5 million they may or not get for him. 1 Like |

Icon4s: Say Whaat? The same team u wanted Junior Ajayi on(Flying Eagles) had NPFL players so ur comment is comical and baseless. U wanted Junior Ajayi over Taiwo Awoniyi and till today I won't agree with that. It has nothing to do with the NPFL. U bring this fallacy up every time u are lost for thought and it is not cute. I was being sympathetic towards Enyimba until someone said they were the only professional team in the land and btw u used other teams crashing out as a ground to stand on. |

BascoVanVeli: Oga u wanted Taiwo Awoniyi a then Nigerian academy player to be a top striker for an U23 team over a Junior Ajayi that was already a top striker for a professional team like 3SC? What was your comment? Remember? "Taiwo Awoniyi was Planets ahead of Ajayi" But yes Siasia preferred Ajayi for the Olympics qualfiers and he delivered. Where were u when I was fronting Stephen Odey to be part of the Amuneke's U20? Instead you rather accused me of working for the NPFL. Very obvious your "sympathy" for the local league is only very recent. 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: I don't defend what is not defendable. I defend the local league when there is need else I criticise. But you don't want anyone to critice the league at all even when there is every reason to. When I gave up was when you were still Defending the league when the news of drop in the number of paricipating teams in CAF competitions came. That was the final nail on the coffin that the league had regressed. Instead you claim it is better now than ever. Na there I just Waka commot for the matter. 2 Likes |

Icon4s: LOL oga u too funny. U are saying academy player like u are forgetting he is a world cup winner. U act like this was an unknown entity. Taiwo Awoniyi was one of the hottest Nigerian striker at that point and u are here still complaining about a guy that played for shooting stars who are not even in the NPFL anymore. Nobody argued with u about U23 so that another fib on ur part. That would have been stewpid when we know Siaone had his own boys. As for Stephen Odey, that is how u have exposed yourself. Are u not the same man that told me I only started liking the NPFL because of Stephen Odey now u are saying I accused u of working for the NPFL because u so loved the Odey. Oga I accused u of wrongly bashing your so called friend Emma for fielding the 2015 Eaglets. I told u that the U17 team was special and there was no young player in the league that could add any value to the team. Mind you this was after the team had crashed and we just started getting wind of Odey. U never brought up any name but I myself told you that Amunike would never in a million years drop Osimhen. Now years later i have been proved absolutely right. Almost all of those boys are stars and it shows Emma was right to give them a chance. 2 Likes |

BascoVanVeli: It was in your mind that Taiwo Awoniyi was one of the hoottest stikers in Nigeria at that time. I even remember some of u guys saying he was good enough to break into the Liverpool team. . I am sure u guys have learned now that the U17 is just what it is: "the U17". It is a different ball game at the senior level. Now to the second bolded, the argument was strictly " who would lead the U23 attack". Right or wrong? So it was not a "fib" as u put it. That was the argument. Anyone who is long enough here can recall that. Taiwo Awoniyi was still waiting for his 18 birthday before go signing for Liverpool. Meanwhile Junior Ajayi was one of the brightest NPFL prospects then. Being the top striker of a 3SC team that was still in the NPFL then. I am sure u later reallised that Taiwo Awoniyi was not in another planet as u put it Now to Stephen Odey. I was one person that complained about the composition of Amuneke's U20 team then. Most if not all of his players were academy players and were not really ready for the U20 challenge. I have always stated that the U20 was not for academy boys but young professionals. We had a 19years old Stephen Odey being a leading scorer in the league. Why not invite him for the U20 qualifiers? Mind u inviting Odey would not have stopped Emma from inviting Osimhen. The team cannot have only one striker na abi?. It is now that some of those Emma boys can be said to be truly U20 players. Unlike the other time that they could not summount the mental ability to eliminate Sudan. Your defense of the NPFL only started when Stephen Odey emerged top scorer of the league and u started pressing for his inclusion into the SE. I for one stood against that. I know that argument dragged for months and so u had to continue defending the NPFL standard just to justify your call for Odey's inclusion. This was same person that called the NPFL a wack o. O boy free yourself o. But I really give you kudos because defending the NPFL is a very difficult job. Me I no fit do am. |

Icon4s: You are just a seasonal hate. Where were you when Awoniyi was balling last year? Now you want to say this and that. The argument was around Manu Garba's U20. Me and you never debated about Siasia's team. I challenge you to pull that up. Look at the mess you are creating. You say I didn't want Odey who you claim was the top scorer in the league at the time in the flying eagles but yet you are claiming I only started hyping the league because he was top scorer. Which is it? Stop the fibs. Till today you won't name these players that should have benched the likes of Chukwueze and Osimhen. We didn't need any help in attack so what would Odey have added by sitting on the bench? Stephen Odey got hot and I proclaimed it. Same thing I did with Lokosa last season. Why come up with such a childish logic? I support the league get used to it. |

BascoVanVeli: There was no time Awoniyi and Ajayi were in competition for a place in the U20 attack because they did not play U20 together. That discuss was the U23 Team. You said Awoniyi was Planets ahead of Ajayi. I can decide to go pull it out but I don't have that kind of time. Talking about Awoniyi balling last year? That is just a failed diversionary tactics. The Awoniyi vs Ajayi discuss was not last year. Or was it? You call me a seasonal hater. Seasonal hater of what? And to ur sentence in bold I can bet you don't support the league more than I do. |

BascoVanVeli: U just picked up one comment from this recent Super Eagles Thread . This was a comment I made sometime in 2017 i guess. The Odey discuss was in 2016 when Amuneke was preparing his team for the AYC qualifiers. This is a very poor work from you. Go back to the earlier threads jare. |
