He supported Buhari not because he wanted to run Buhari's government. Of course he knew he couldn't. He needed to see a change from the failures of Jonathan's government.
Buhari has so far become a monumental failure to the dismay of his former sincere supporters.
How do you expect Obj to keep supporting Buhari when he has undermined every other tribe in Nigeria from the South? Even Yorubas have been rendered 2nd class under Buhari while Igbos are 3rd class. How could Obj keep quiet to such nonsense?
Obj has gone ahead to earn a PhD since the end of his tenure. This shows he's naturally very intelligent. What does Buhari know? Simple questions he was asked last week, he couldn't answer. How can a smart Obj still support such a man to lead a nation of 200million people in the 21st century?
As for his previous opinion about Atiku, it show that for him to eat his words and support Atiku for 2019, Buhari has failed beyond what we can imagine. Obj can no longer stand the idiocy of Buhari and his government. It's more unbearable for him and other sane Nigerians than having Atiku in power.
