There's just less than a month to go until Nigerians go to the polls to vote for their preferred candidates in the presidency, governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.

At least 91 political parties have registered and more than 70 have put forward presidential candidates, but the most popular among them are President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP).

Elections in Nigeria have always been big business. Political parties spend hundreds of millions of dollars in publicity, logistics and even vote buying.

But reduced spending has affected campaigning. Some say this is good news for democracy, but bad news for business.

Just a digress........ Who cursed the South to make Unity unattainable. No Northern decent will ever allow this level of ridicule on their own CJN. Not one. Do you think a Hausa/Fulani CJN will ever be disgraced in this fashion? Not in the future. Do you know Walter is the first southern CJN in 35years? So you think past CJNs never had one issue or the other. I feel for south. I weep for them.

Update: The barrage of mentions I have received from the post the likes of which I have never seen before gives me the feeling I just said the right thing. I believe there is an 'APC propaganda counter punch engine room' running smoothly on NL. From the view of a country hillside with the cool breeze hitting my forehead, I can't but smile at the high level of southern ignoramus.

Reckless reportage. The ruling party still spends big and dole out cash. It's the opposition party that are finding it hard to bring out cash to spend due to fear of being hounded by EFCC and security agencies.

The Union bank/ Bankers warehouse saga is a pointer to this fact. In their bid to stifle the opposition of campaign funds, the EFCC seized cash meant for Union bank thinking its owned by the opposition.

I think this is true, the way money is spent for election this year has truly reduced compared to what was experienced in 2015.
where we they even see the money to spend self when majority of the people are complaining no money.
