oladele00:What we are say is the timing. Few days to the general election and you are making such changes to Favour the outcome of the election to yourself. How ever noble your reason are timing is everything. Selective corruption fight. Why is ganduje not behind bars. Or alpha beta that was reported to EFCC and nothing has been said or done. And so more cases. Even the APC Chairman said it all. Cross over and your sins will be forgiven . We are the future of this country and will must be holistic in our approched to justice and fair play. |

It’s obvious that Onneghen’s suspension badly hurt PDP’s evil plans. No wonder they have been screening blue murder. PDP is finished walahi. They need another Dubai trip to restrategize |

Gforce2019:I was replying that goat that wanted to bring the issue of resigning and morality into politics. Cos if we are to go by morality and resigning, Buhari should have resigned when nobody saw his WEAC cos even Buhari admitted that his principal gave him 'paper'. Osibanjo should have resigned when he was indicted of a 5billion fund diversion. But we don't resign in this part of the world..ok? My worry in the whole issue is that the CJN is not a minister of Buhari. He is the head of the judiciary, just as Buhari is the head of the executive. Imagine Saraki waking up one morning and impeaching Buhari without 2/3rd majority from the house...cos that's one of the two ways a CJ can be removed... |

neyobills:You will petition the NJC through who ? Are you not aware that the CJN is the chairman/president of the NJC? Are you also not aware that CJN indefinitely postponed a meeting that's supposed to be held by the NJC members because of the allegation against him? Do you not know that this same CJN gave a ruling about the role of the CCT/CCT to the conduct of judicial officers and the allegation against him falls within? If someone is not guilty of a crime why would such person want an injunction ? |

JeeMoney:he didn’t make fake asset declaration. He illegally acquired unexplainable wealth from PDP to compromise the election tribunals and he was found out. So the timing is right. |

Someone was bullied by the opposition members to resign her position as the minister over the use of fake NYSC letter of EXEMPTION but the same opposition members are defending the corrupt CJN with hidden 3 million dollars in numerous accounts. Onnoghen has gone for good! And he will explain to all Nigerians how many PDP governors bribed him. They're taking Buhari for a ride, shouting tyrant, dictator at every opportunity they got. It was so bad that the man was even found it difficult to lift a finger. They (PDP and criminal SANs) were literally dictating to him, what to do, what not to do. |

oladele00:Oga nawa for you o.... The law is the law.. Whether it favors the FG or not. When Saraki adjourned the senate because he perceived some senators were lobbying to impeach him, nothing happened because it is his senate and he has the power to do so, according to the law. The CJN postponing NJC meeting indefinitly does not in any way give the president the powers it never had.. It is his NJC as the chairman. The law gave him that power.. The finance minister can be sacked, suspended or removed by the president. She is an appointee of the President. The CJN cannot be sacked, suspended or removed by the president, whether he got his order from CCT or not. The CCT is a tribunal under the control of the Executive so it has no powers to dock the CJN until the man is strip off that cloak of CJN by NJC..He is not an appointee of the president. He can only be sacked, suspended or removed by the senate or NJC period. Any other thing done is alien to the constitution. Just imagine Governors removing and replacing Chief judges in their various states as they so desire because they do not feel comfortable with him..That is the precedence the president is setting |

azikiweironsi:If you have sense, however small you will know that the illegal removal of the CJN is an insult to us all. Its a rape on our democracy. Our fragile democracy that Buhari killed in '83. We revived it again, and Buhari wants to kill it again? And you yoruba Muslim is supporting it? |

oladele00:We don't have an issue with Buhari trying to remove Onnoghen, it is the approach that is quite sickening. Now, imagine that instead of charging the CJN to CCT all of a sudden, Buhari had announced the accusations against the CJN and called on the Senate to have him removed according. Even if the Senate had not convened, he'll take the higher ground and public opinion would have been on his side. All "neutralists" would have wailed that the CJN is honor bound to resign pending investigation by the Senate. If the Senate does not want to reconvene, Buhari's PR team could have played that as them being in collusion with the "corrupt" CJN. If after all the outcry, the CJN doesn't step down, then Buhari can decide to use the CCT route and claim that he's acting in the interest of democracy and protection of our institutions. The whole nation would have supported him then, and he would have even swayed public opinion to his side. This is because on the one hand, he represents the rule of law and the fight against institutionalised corruption, while the CJN and his cohort would represent corruption. If the PDP decides to side with the CJN, they would also be tarnished in the image of corruption. Like I told my friend in the past, Buhari might be doing good, but his Public Relations is very bad. No matter how good a product is, if the marketing is bad, you won't get sales. |

DLondonboiy:Your worry should be why morrron like you would still want the tainted CJN to continue in his official capacity as the CJN and president of NJC after admitting flouting the law? Why didn't he allow the 88th NJC meeting to hold 2 days ago? Because he knew that he would be asked to step aside. |

bkool7:Whatever u think is your imagination and not facts, here are the facts He forgot to declare some of his assets years ago What is the penalty? If he admits he forgot he will be given the opportunity to update it and everyone goes home smiling. If the law says 5 yes behind bars u don't take them to the electric chair because u don't like their face. Here the penalty does not even include a suspension, just admit and update,I wonder how in Gods green earth they came up with the suspension plot in the first place. |

Why report one side of the story. America wants to do what dey dis in iraq the same thing they in lybia rusia is surporting the president so at the end of the day they will turn venezuela to a battle ground so they can control their oil . what did America and other countries do when saudi arabia killed that jurnalist in the embassy. Oga forget it . Is anyone in Nigeria closely following what is going on in Venezuela? And if you are following, what does it tell you? Ok. Let me give you an inkling of what will likely happen in Nigeria if Buhari and APC rig the 2019 election. You have read the statements put out by the United States and the United Kingdom earlier on Thursday the 24th of January where both countries specifically warned against the rigging of the election and promised visa sanctions and even international prosecution for those who will be caught or indicted in the rigging of the election. Those who don't know or those who are so blind that they can't see, think that the statements by those countries are empty boasts. Let anyone in INEC, the security agencies and in the federal or state governments even try to rig this election and see. The international observers are coming in huge numbers more than ever before after reading the reports of the shame and sham in Osun State. The word has spread round and they are coming with a large delegation to observe the elections. It's such a shame that the perceived gains of our electoral advancement in 2011 and debatably in 2015, have been eroded by the selfish and evil machinations of a desperate self-serving cabal. With the US and the UK releasing warnings to Nigeria about electoral malpractices, it doesn't take much to look at what has been happening in Venezuela in the past three days or so. In Venezuela, the leader of the opposition party ran for the Presidency with the incumbent President. The election was heavily rigged in the incumbent's favour and the international observers from the European Union and other countries, including the USA, reported the malpractices in that election to their home countries. And what has happened? President Trump of America a few hours ago duly recognised the opposition party leader as the President of Venezuela. Trump says the election was rigged and that the incumbent has to leave. What has followed? The European Union, Canada and other countries have also recognised the opposition party leader as the rightful President-in-waiting. Trump and the other countries have directed that all oil proceeds due to Venezuela be kept in a special account and will not be sent to Venezuela till the opposition candidate is rightfully sworn in. Trump has also agreed that the opposition leader can form his cabinet which the international community has agreed to recognise. This means that the Venezuelan opposition party leader is now a President in the eyes of the world, while the incumbent president in his country is screaming blue murder. The opposition President will be given the status of an international Head of State and will be thus recognised. It's only a matter of time before the incumbent in Venezuela either accepts defeat or is removed by the people's protest when biting economic sanctions hit very soon. How does this relate to the February election in Nigeria? Only the discerning can see what will happen. If Buhari and INEC and the security agencies attempt to rig the election and results which do not reflect the will of the voters are declared, Nigeria should prepare themselves for the Venezuelan treatment. Every Nigerian should be asking for right now is for free and fair elections in Nigeria. Let the people's will prevail. It won't take one month of sanctions on us before the reality of what the effects of a rigged election on our economy and national psyche hit home. A word is enough for the wise.[/quote] |

DLondonboiy:Why would you want a corrupt CJN to stay put? He indicted himself, he should have done the honourable thing. But since he refused, nothing bad in kicking him out. His stay in office after his admission of guilty is a stain on the Judiciary. Every case that would pass his table after his admission of guilty would never be considered fair |

Only their club members, blindfolded elites and political gangsters are condemning president buhari. They have refused to be inclined to the source problem and have placed selfish interest above the national interest. As far as i am concerned, Buhari decision is good riddance to bad rubbish that emanated from foremost justice of a nation. |
