And to the zombies saying there is nothing the us or uk or eu can do against nigeria please take note. I wonder what you'll say if no country buys oil from nigeria. No investment coming in and the companies already here leave. We should be careful in this country.

How can you say no country will buy Nigeria's oil. It's funny!

This is a coup through back door.

The Venezuelan President was duly elected by its people. America does not care about Venezuelans, they are only after installing a President they can control so they can access their crude oil.

Venezuela has the highest proven crude oil reserve on the planet, more than even Saudi Arabia.

All they want is to install a puppet régime.

If you know you know.

The lifeless one would be panicking by nowquote author=heendrix post=75220851]The Trump administration on Monday escalated its efforts to force Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from power, blocking all U.S. revenue to Venezuela’s
national oil company and calling on members of its armed forces to switch their allegiance to the man the United States now recognizes as Venezuela’s head of
state.

Any attempt to harm remaining U.S. diplomats in Venezuela, or violence against the newly recognized president, Juan Guaidó , “will be met with a significant response,” White House national security
adviser John Bolton said.

President Trump “has made it very clear all options are on the table,” said Bolton, who announced the sanctions at a white House press briefing alongside
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin
For the moment, the administration is depending on economic and diplomatic measures to squeeze Maduro, who has refused to leave and charged the United States with trying to overthrow his government. Pentagon officials have indicated they have no orders to prepare for military action toward Venezuela. But by starving Maduro of a critical source of cash, the Trump administration has dramatically increased the pressure on his government.

Bolton said that Venezuelan “official and military personnel” were already “heeding this call” to change sides, noting that the military attache at the country’s embassy in Washington has publicly recognized Guaidó’s government, as has the Venezuelan Consulate in Miami. He also said that several unnamed generals who last week publicly pledged loyalty to Maduro were already in contact with the opposition.

The measures announced Monday place sanctions on PDVSA, the Venezuelan state oil company, freezing $7 billion in U.S.- based assets and blocking more than $11 billion in revenue that would otherwise flow from oil sales over the next year, Bolton said.

At least 20 other countries, most of them in the Western Hemisphere, have joined the United States, which recognized Guaidó, 35, as the legitimate president of Venezuela on Wednesday. At a U.N. Security Council meeting Saturday, several leading
European governments threatened to recognize Guaidó, the elected president of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, unless a plan for new elections was announced by the end of this week.

The way the US is going, this might just lead to WWW III because Russia and China won't just sit idle and allow the US destroy all their investments in Venezuela.

And those saying Russia can't stop US, they stopped the US from toppling Syrian President, so they can stop the US again.

This is pure bullying and has typical Trumps signature written all over it. This is not how responsible countries operate. Dialogue should always be the watch world and not threats. As the saying goes "violence begets more violence"

Any day the US announces sanction against Nigeria's oil,

the 12 Sharia States of Northern Nigeria that adopted Islamic Sharia Criminal Justice system since 1999 shall declare Islamic Republic of Northern Nigeria (Arewa Sharia Republic).

Buhari clan doesn''t seem to understand that the UK and the US are what hold Nigeria's Sovereignty today, not the people of Nigeria, not the Armed Forces of Nigeria that can't even defeat Boko Haram.

What economic sanction? When China is willing and ready to hug us. What do we need them for? We have nothing to lose, they have a lot. Their investments are here.

Trump won't even do it. He is a boy to Saudi Arabia which who will just tell him to keep mute.

Have you seen Trump issue warning on Jamal Kashiogi's murder or war in Yemen? He will never do. His Daddy's are the ones calling the shot.

how do you people think self? How do they need us? What services does nigeria provide for the US or any other country? We only have oil which they can easily boycot and buy from somewhere else. They can switch off internet on nigeria. I shudder sometimes on how myopic some of you are. Have you travelled outside nigeria to see how no one loses any sleep over nigeria?. FYI, nigeria is nothing.

That's Venezuela not Nigeria.

What sanction has US got to offer presently? Are they buying our oil presently? How many investment do we have in their country? We can kick all theirs outta Naija. Na Europe I pity...

China will even be happy if America places Sanction on us.

Am sure you know China has trade relationship with North Korea despite American sanction

Nigeria is a big market. America cannot bring us down knowing a China will dive at us at any slightest opportunity. Which they have even been doing.

The western countries are not suppose to interfere in the internal affairs of any country, since they won't like the same to be meted on them. But, they keep working towards destroying economies of nations who don't do their bidding by placing sanctions o them, financing terrorism n militias against such countries . Honestly, my take on that of Venezuela is simply to have control over their vast oil reserve being the country with the largest oil reserve on earth. I pray that many of us will understand that these people don't care about us but their interests.

America won't bark what?

Russia is in Syrian, yet US planes enter and bomb as they like.

Maduro has been warned. If any US diplomat or the opposition leader is harmed, there would be a full scale invasion.

Russia can't stop it.

The wealth America and uk are enjoying today is a result of the Black Man go and read history... Our bad style of leadership make us look like baby in their sight... They call us all sort of names but still do business with us.
They Grant us loans and impose laws and make us open our boarders in return. A white man can come here and open company here without stress but you can't do the same there... The more you look the less you see Wisen Up.
