A delta man vote for buhari.
.God forbid. i urhobo and never votig for bihari. maybe ogboru..we need change
What you should realize is that the Delta men in APC understand that Buhari must win or do very well at least on Feb 16th, for them to have a chance of winning on March 2nd. Also, the senators like Omo-Agege needs to win to return to the senate. Lastly, Delta state is different from most states in the sense that there are many tribes with different ambitions and alignment there. Urhobo and Itsekiri both have different interests in this current APC government and will give their votes to PMB/APC.

This is the best thread in nairaland so far.
I haven't seen any insult on anyone's opinion here.
You are right.its because the usual tribal haters and bigots are not here.there are more focused on buhari campaign in abia today.

Not when you have Ogboru and Omo-Agege as your opponents.

Ogboru himself is a street guy. So that rigging will be countered.
But great ogboru lost to okowa in 2015,mind you delta north will import anambarians to vote in okowa

The op just re-echoed my thoughts and longstanding predictions.buhari will get large votes in delta central like in 2015,in itsekiri areas and a little among the isokos because of the popularity of JOT.ogboru will be voted by urhobos, itsekiris and 60% of isokos which is enough to clinch it.

I have been telling my friends who are not Deltans these but they bliv the social media hype. As it stands today, Ogboru is wining Urhobo, Isoko and Itsekiri votes. He will loose woefully in Delta North. His greatest mistake was not taking Cairo Ojougbo from Agbor as his deputy. That guy would have given Okowa problem in his home of Ika land. Against the popular opinion, Okowa is not dat loved in Agbor because of the Agbor/Owa dichotomy. I bliv this is d best chance for Ogboru although he might not win. Local govt workers, primary school teachers and pensioners are strongly against Okowa not to talk of all those he sacked in 2015 from the state civil service. As for Buhari, he is not going to win Delta but will possibly get about 40% of the votes which is a huge improvement from that of 2015.

Ogboru would take Delta Central, if he can gt half of the votes from Delta south(Isoko and Itsekiri block). Then he wins

Bros, u will be surprised to know the number of Deltans voting for Buhari. As it stands today 90% of my extended families both in Delta Central and North are voting for him.

Glad to see PDP members allocate 40 percent to pmb.
This implies that pmb can garner up to 50 percent if properly mobilized.

The odds favour Ogboru cos on a free and fair basest Ogboru would sweep Delta central.... Urhobos do not believe in any rotation policy, they believe the governors seat is their right as the majority tribe in delta state.
Who be Ejele? to deliver Warri south, he is a new comer with politics who won't move mountains.
Sick Leo Ogor or another one. Leo Ogor has being abroad for abt a year.... He is sick and won his pry election in absential. He can do nothing bro
Bro, Ejele is not a novice in politics o.
Just ask someone about him and u will understand that uduaghan is afraid of him.
He is one of the people who dismantled uduaghan's choice in PDP during the last election.

He is a force in Delta South, if not the strongest force.

Do you leave in Delta state? Cos on the street in warri and it's environs e. g Jeddo, Udu etc the Urhobo's are rooting for APC.
Surely These 3 LGA would deliver for APC; Ughelli North and South and Udu... Uvwie is dicey, may go either way..... My assessment is base on word on the street.

N. B I would vote Atiku for Presidency and Ogboru For Governor. I believe we need change at both levels and I pray other Deltans do the same

Lol.....Jeddo......pls is there another jeddo in warri?

The first lesson you learn from this thread is that it can never be 5% for APC at the polls.

It is neck to neck and that's a good thing.

Buhari can't get 10% in urhobo, he is hated forget the crowd you saw at that rally. They were there for ogboru and omo-agege. Herdsmen has killed so many people in ughelli north and they have terrorized Abraka too. As for the governorship election Okowa will win again, 40-50% urhobos will vote for him, Ijaws are all for him, he should get another 50% votes from Isokos and i can't tell about the itsekiris. Okowa pulled some last minute coup that change the mindset of so many political leaders and group and he also started massive works to save himself from disgrace. Omo-agege will win delta central senatorial election and as for James manager vs Uduaghan i have no comment. Ogboru lost some followers when he collected contracts from GEJ, that made some people feel he is just there for his stomach and not the people.

I am an Urhobo and live in Delta State, I can tell you confidently that 75% of Urhobos are rooting for Ogboru and in extension Buhari.

Our believe is that the PDP government has failed Deltans and there is a need to try something else.

Uduaghan influence will sway the Itsekiris and if you combine the Urhobos and Itsekiris votes, you are likely to have a victory for APC in Delta State.

Ibori is luke warm about the current political rumblings in Delta State. News on the street is that he is going to allow his boys like Uduaghan, Igbuya and others sail through without interference in the next elections.

Rigging next elections without the support of INEC will be difficult for PDP because people like Uduaghan and Omo Agege know exactly the trick and how it is done because they are beneficiaries of it.

All previous elections in Delta State have always been massively rigged in favor of PDP.

Not from Delta and have little or no idea of their politics. But I read this thread up until this point because 90% of the contributors (i.e both the proposing and opposing sides) have been civil towards one another.

A big kudos to y'all for this. Nairaland deserves to be at par with the likes of Reddit but only with such civil engagements

Are you sure you are within the Urhobo area of Delta State.... Cos i use to think like you until i started interacting on a personal level with Urhobos within their area. My job carries me around warri and it's environs so am not telling about her say bt first had information.

Oshare I fear for this your analysis o. grin

40%-50% of Urhobos will vote for Okowa?, even when two Urhobo sons were contesting, Ibori couldn't even pull up to 30% votes from The Urhobos, if not for rigging, Ibori would have lost his battle with Ogboru, not to talk of someone who isn't from Delta Central, this election will be a shocker, the trust the people have now for Ogboru is one I haven't seen before, this is what happens when you have a strong party behind your back.

There is something you need to know, and that is the natural love the masses have for Ogboru, I myself, even if I pretend not to show support for any candidate, I always wish in my mind Ogboru wins, this is something money can't buy.

Would love to give a breakdown, but hey, I'm tired of typing same thing over and over again. As for the presidential elections, I reserve my comment, grin

Peace Oniovo.

@Thanks Efe,
The 2019 Elections in Delta State will reveal clearly what has been happening in the State's past elections. The figures will be very strange when compared to figures obtained from past elections.

Ibori had never won Sapele LGA, Ugboru has always won most Urhobo LGA.

The forthcoming elections will shock many. The state house of assembly positions will be mostly shared 50-50. Federal elective positions will be shared 60-40 in favor of APC.

Deltans are very angry with the way the state has been managed by PDP. The violence invoked against oppositions has been what has kept most persons against the PDP government mute.

The last local government election was a clear pointer of how opposed people are to the PDP government. Even when it was clear that DISEC was going to write the results in favor of PDP, people fought violently against PDP and the state recorded deaths.

With an INEC conducted election, PDP will be powerless without federal might or INEC helping to write results.
