Ex-Military President Ibrahim Babangida wickedly wasted the life of Late Major General Mamman Vatsa whom the Babangida administration charged of attempted plan to bomb some military target using some air force officer.

Vatsa and his co-conspirators like Squadron Leader Martin Luther were condemned to death for plotting to overthrow the military government of General Babangida by military tribunal and summarily executed by fire squad.

There were different versions to this allegations of coup. But this sad episode is history and Nigeria has moved beyond the dark days of General Babangida.

The widow of late Mamman Vatsa who is from Cross River state/Akwa Ibom died some years back from complications emanating from the death of her husband.

I celebrate the daughter for flying above the dark shadow that crisscross her family lane.

She will certainly go places.
