The question is, what do we even stand to gain as Nigerians?

The other JAMB was jubilating over millions of naira generated in just few days, not minding how some of the jambites struggled to pay their JAMB. Unfortunately, we will never know what exactly they do with the money generated or squeezed out of the poor Nigerians.

Every ministry just want to generate fund by force, even at the detriment of Nigerians.

Very soon, they will ask us to start paying for the road we walk on.

Thank God no ministry is in charge of air. We would hav been asked to pay too.

Very useless set of people. Uselessness and cluelessness is their watchward. To handle customer complaint service, coordinate registration and issuing of slips and ID card is to them a rocket bomb. If NIM or whatever it is called finds it hard to do this why does it exist?

I did the pre-enrolment nonsense last year August and I'm yet to get the slip. All complaints forwarded to their customer complaint box kept bouncing back. Those that luckily entered were not responded to. And this set of people managing such moribund unit have the effrontery to come to the public and tell us we will be paying for their useless and heartbreaking service. WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THAT THING CALLED NIM SHOULD BE SACKED ASAP. HE IS UNWORTHY OF A FAMILY HEAD.

Rubbish. The ones people enrolled since has not be produced. Bring them out let's see what we have been waiting for before talking about paying for something we did since 2014 and it's taking donkey years to be produce. Is it different from ATM card?

I registered in 2014 & got a text that it was ready last year. I went to collect it & was shocked because they wrote "September 2015" as issue date on the card. Which means it was ready then but I only got a text last year.

I was more shocked when I found out it will be expiring next year. Imagine! So I registered 2014, collected 2018 & only have less than 2 years to use it (cos I collected it around September).

I was even much more shocked to discover the NIN (National Identity Number) is not on the card! It's on the printout. So you have to safeguard the both well. I don't know how they won't put the number on the card (I mean isn't that the essence of the card?) but they liased with MasterCard to double the card(NIC) into a debit card. How do the two even relate for goodness sake?

I somehow think the new set of cards will be better than ours. For starters, ours weren't linked to our BVN but these new ones are & will also hopefully carry the NIN on them.

Anyway, be patient with them still.

What you will register for is the NIC(National Identity Card). The card will have the NIN on it.
