Nothing short of locating IMSU fully and permanently in Orlu zone can resolve the zoning impasse in Imo state.

arinzeejinkonye -Abagworo shall continue with Celebration of Owerri for Imo state on Nairaland but refuse to understand how rest of Imo outside Owerri feel bad because of how Okorocha's obsession for Owerri underdeveloped rest of Imo state which constitute 96% land mass of Imo state.

Okorocha is paying for his sins politically.

You are now the spokesman of Ndi Imo living outside Owerri.

An interior village man like you from somewhere in Okigwe zone has no choice than take Owerri as his home town.

We from Orlu municipal LGA know that in 1976, when Imo state was created, they were only little differences in the levels of urbanization between Owerri and Orlu.

Why must the federal allocations for Orlu be used by Okorocha to build what suits him in Owerri?

Little wonder you and Rochas Okorocha believe that Imo state must have Owerri as only developed city.

Even during Mbakwe's administration, Aba, Orlu and Umuahia were the three officially recognized industrial hubs of then Imo state. Owerri was mere administrative post it has been before then.

Owerri, Orlu, Oguta and Okigwe have been the officially designated urban towns of present Imo state, even before Rochas Okorocha started school.

Mbakwe built industries in all the 21 LGAs of Imo state, slated surface water supply systems for the five zones -- all these for uniform development of Imo state.

Mbakwe left, rogue elements took over Imo state , started to locate every govt project in Owerri, limit development to Owerri, and pocket the money that should have gone for the development of rest of Imo state.

Udenwa who tried to change things for good of entire Imo state was hated to the bone marrow by the rogue elements.

Okorocha is now the darling of the rogue elements who now want Third term for Okorocha via Uche Nwosu.

The teaching hospital and International market Udenwa started in Orlu have been suffocated by Ohakim and Okorocha. Ask yourself how and why.

There's a car manufacturing company in nearby brother anambra state, but SE governors and the governor of anambra state are buying toyota cars.

For a tribe who claim to be smart, that is the DUMBEST and STUPIDEST thing to do in the world. Any tribe or group that indulges in not patronizing what is produced in their land is not smart at all.

Lol..Always deluding themselves. Imo state has 500 million monthly IGR which amounts to paltry 6billion per annum. When you finish posting the link, then post the debt burden. Imo state is in a deep mess.

Based on latest release by NBS, Imo State has moved ahead of Anambra and Enugu to become the State with highest IGR in Southeast Nigeria. Can the naysayers now see that the hospitality driven economy has surpassed the commerce driven economy? The reason is simply because Okorocha's government has been steadfast in the direction headed and achieved this without exorbitant taxation.

The debt profile is another issue. Imo State has lowest external debt while the domestic debt is relatively high. As at 3 years ago nobody could have believed Imo as a State would surpass other Southeast States. Okorocha is finishing very well.

I'm a christian, so, I really don't believe in karma. Karma is hinduabomination.

The country will never move forward with this system. Orlu city will never advance with this system. I tried to educate you folks on the way forward. Scroll back several pages of this thread to read my essays. I also posted on enugu thread on the same subjects.

Mayor.... I believe that to be Local Go erbment chairmen in our case.

I'll like to state that you don't expect it to work if funds meant for the LG are first given to SG's account then disbursed from there, which in most cases doesn't happen.

Also, IGR from LGs are first drawn to the state accounts then disbursed back to the LG from which they came.

So, in all honesty and looking at what I wrote above, ull see that the guy complaining about the neglect of Orlu is RIGHT.

U can't expect Orlu to develop if the funds it require are to be given to it by the SG which refused to do so, and even its IGR r all taken by the SG

Sincerely, a lot of times, Abagworo can be as senseless as Chino.

That said, I always tell people to forget online criticism. Rochas has transformed Imo State in more ways than one.

IM0, the best thing that will happen to Imo State is for Uche Nwosu to win. The reasoning is simple: I don't want any new governor that will abandon all these ongoing projects.

Besides, Uche Nwosu mirrors the fact that youths still have hope.

Our people must strive for competency and continuity...not championing parochial politics.
