blacklisting the card and disappearing for 2 months without paying nor reporting the matter was the best thing to do? shocked shocked shocked.
Criminals plenty for this thread I swear grin grin grin

So if she blacklists the card and report the matter, will that exonerate her from being a criminal in your eyes?

Because I don't see why you should encourage someone to pay #10k plus from Ikoyi to MM whatever, knowing fully well that she was robbed

believe it or not what she did is a criminal offence for a woman of her status (as she claimed), she's actually dubious, after a ride she blacklisted her card and refused to fund it for 2 months lol,. D best thing she would have done is call the wicked driver and demand explanations, then next is report to d company immediately,. The company will definitely investigate n refund her money and possibly prosecute that driver..

Honestly, I might not approve how she handled it by not reporting but I cant tell if she's in the country and doesn't have the time or she is just upset because of the bitter transaction which honestly she has the right to be especially if its her first transaction with the company.

Furthermore, understand that her not paying is not criminal because there has been a breech of contract. there was a fraudulent transaction from the story which left a bad taste in her mouth and made her not fulfil her obligation. if this matter were to be in court, its easily defendable because the onions is on taxify to employ dependable and trustworthy drivers which in this case (assuming all things are equal as regards the story) they did not. If the clients decides not to fulfil their end of the contract because of a breech it is not criminal sir.

BTW I believe you don't understand what blacklisting of a card means. it means that particular card (debit/credit) which was previously linked to a current/savings account has been deactivated from OTC and all electronic transactions but the account is still funded. So she did not refuse to fund the card as the card is no longer functional.

If you don't far it please to troll. Trolling will only make you appear stupid.

Ask your self, why would a Taxify driver not want to end the trip while the rider was in haste since it was a card trip, if it was a cash trip, he would av ended the trip ever since, I support the riders action, he did the right thing

I really Don't see why you keep siding her,. You know her actions are dubious and fraudulent,,. First of all, as a lagosian she's supposed to be smart, but in this case she's been careless, and wants to cover her carelessness with a dubious n fraudulent act,.

She how fast she blacklisted it, I can't even do it that fast lol grin grin,. Its a prove she was prepared for it cool

Guys, with all due respect... Where are your moral principles?. I think both of them made a little mistake.

I however cannot blame the driver that much. What if he reconciled the money with Taxify - we do not know that. Also, what if the rider forgot to end the trip. Trust me, we do not know the drivers story.

On the riders part, she felt cheated and she did the right thing I would have done given the situation.
However, she should have narrated her ordeal as a reply to those emails and requested for a review.

Romans 13:8
Owe no man any thing...

2 Kings 4:7
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt...

I Don't even understand what you mean by she was in a haste , You sat comfortably from ikoyi to mm and couldn't bring out 10sec of ur time to end and rectify your trip abi,. But she has d time to relax inside and eat and even had time to start blacklisting her card, She was simply not smart and careless, and she's just trying to justify her mistakes and dubious act

I just got out and got my first request on taxify . I got to pick up location and this couple said they are going to Sango from ilupeju. I just jejely told them I can't go. They begged I should do it offline and I'll carry them back, i ll have to wait for like 20mins. I hope it's a good deal for 13k?

I'm not siding her brov I'm just saying don't be too quick to judge...being trusting is not being dumb...the cabbie rendered a service and she expected him to end trip because she had a flight...in a civilized world that shouldn't be an issue or a yardstick for smartness but yes in Lagos everybody wants to cheat the next man.

Let's just forget it all men beside blacklisting your card can be done in 3 minutes as long as you have Internet banking for some banks or your have your account officers number if your are HNI in your bank,

So you haven't seen riders that get to their destination, open your door and walk out without checking the fare simply because it's a card trip?

I think your argument with her is somehow personal.

Huh? undecided

And you were labelling her unsmart and careless because she didnt check. Wonderful

Anyways, a good number of card trip riders do that. Maybe they feel the trip is supposed to end by itself because it's a card trip, or maybe they feel you can't cheat them since its a card trip.

She was not careless. She just didn't know that dubious drivers have found a way to cheat riders on a card trip

One thing I have come to notice about this thread is thaf most drivers here have very boring lives. Every little thing, they will turn it to argument to give themselves some meaning in life. I remember one time when the romeo3 guy was entertaining us on Nairaland. One of the best threads ever. Obviously, everything he was saying was for laughs and should be taken at surface level.

But due to the fact that Nigeria as a country has the highest index of the most backward, unprogressive iddiots and imbecciles who are frustrated and mentally rettarded due to recurrent bad governments and harsh economic policies, many of them took what he said at core value and misconstrued a lot of what he said. Even when he snapped pictures without the individuals faces, people lampooned him for intruding on peoples privacy! Privacy my foot! But these are same hopelessly frustrated human beings who will sit one place idly and disssect and gossip another persons lifestyle into pieces! Speak of shameful hypocrisy.

Of recent, I uploaded a picture here which was without the girls face. Infact let me be honest, I usually go around that area and I know that lady in question. I have a particular client I carry from her compound. I swear before God and man that this lady does not have Uber app on her phone neither does she use ehailing. I didnt carry her and have never carried her.

I know her quite well. Infact when I drove close to her, I had to wine down my glasses and greet her. I must admit that I admire and like her though. She has a killer figure. But before I greeted her, I snapped a pic of her back making sure her face does not show. I wanted to use it and make up a story that will be very very funny.

Its a pity that animals took it too personal and one morron had to open a thread because of it. They wanted to be gentle men and probably, win ladies over from this forum! Funny enough if you go through there profiles and lifestyles, you will find out that they are the real misogynists and female haters!

If you read my comments on this thread, you will see where I say atimes that I keep a matchete under my car seat. For crying out loud, which stuppid Uber driver does that? Keep a matchete? For what exactly? And put it online? Which Fooolish Uber driver will harass a lady on a trip and have the effrontery to put her pic and the story online?

Let me tell some of you boldly now. Am not the Buhari that is toying with your future and lives! Take your frustration to him leave innocent people alone.

Ifyalways, you did the right thing by blocking your card. That driver is a criminal who should be arrested, released after thorough beating and rearrested again for further beatings and imprisonment. If you had reported to taxify, I can assure you that they will give you trip bonus worth 5-10 thousand. No single direct trip from your house to airport should cost that much no matter your location and traffic condition. What I said before was a joke and apologise duly.

This epistle was written because I can see a lot of drivers arguing rubbish. Please lets learn to separate facts from fictions. Good evening all.

You fly Emirates first class yet you quickly blacklisted your card because of additional fare that wasn't up to 10k? I am still not understanding
You are what you do, not what you say wink
I've always known you are a First Class moron_ from your comments and my instincts never fail me.

Cool down and re-read this idiotic beer parlour reasoning you typed here. So you expect someone to pay for a service that wasn't used?

Even if additional fare is 500naira, it's her money. So because she flies first class, she should be cheated, because according to you asinine logic, "rich" people shouldn't have problems paying extra for services, especially services they didn't enjoy and services you seem they are bigger than? What an utter moron_

So because she was in a hurry and wasn't patient enough to wait for driver to end her trip, that has become a crime? I find it more disconcerting that you didn't find wrong in what the driver did. After being in the airport for so long, the trip was still ongoing, you Arabian doofus. Blacklisting the card was the best thing to do at that time simply because the trip has not ended. The driver had not ended the trip and there was no way she would have known how much the trip would have costed or when the driver would have ended the trip.

So according to your pepper soup logic, she should have waited till she was charged by taxify before making a complain, knowing fully well that a snail responds to complaints faster than taxify does?
