It has been gathered that the 15-year-old girl identified as Miss Chinwe, who got married to a mentally unstable man named Izuchukwu Igwilo, is a nursing mother who has a six months old baby.

The wedding between the duo which happened few days ago in Ozubulu area of Anambra, sparked outrage among Nigerians who vehemently condemned what they termed as 'unholy' union.

According to activist Prince Harrison Gwamnishu, the demented man Igwilo is said to be a businessman based in Lagos.

Report also has it that the commissioner Ministry of Women and Child Welfare Anambra State, Nigeria Police Anambra command and other concerned Nigerians have waded into the matter to rescue the teenage girl from the marriage.

The young girl has been handed over to Ministry of Women and Child Welfare in Anambra State.

Assuming she was not raped, if her parents had put on her contraceptives before this, she would not be a mother at this point and certainly would not have been forced into marrying and becoming a wife-appliance, and elderly care companion to an old, mentally incompetent person.

The same people who preach against sex education for our children are the very same who don't hesitate to perpetrate these evils against them in the name of maintaining face and tradition.
