Former Nigerian President Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe once said "It is the doom of humanity that all animate things must eventually become inanimates so that the cycle of existence must continue its mysterious myths". From the above stated quote, it means we come into this world, after some time we die and the cycle continues.

I have heard/seen some people that have never suffered, never really struggled for anything but they get whatever they want on a platter of gold. However, I have also heard/seen others who have worked so hard but throughout their lifetime, they have nothing tangible to show for it. A lot of things going through my mind lately and sometimes I kind of feel this life isn't even worth it. Is life predetermined? If yes, what is the logical basis for that and why did the Almighty Creator make it so? If no, what are the basic principles or how can one unravel the mysteries which can assist one in moving from point A to B? Why am I here on earth? What is the essence of my coming into the world?

I'm a Christian but I've reservations about a lot of things which I may not go into details. I welcome comments from everyone. Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Atheists, etc. Whether it is from religious or non religious points of view. I just need answers

You are here on earth to die so you can move into the great beyond that is known as the Big Nothing.

If you're a Christian, you shouldn't have any reservations because Christianity is about faith.

You are on earth to gain experience to prepare you for the next world. To improve yourself, work on your weakness.
On earth you obtain a mortal body that allows you pass through mortality and gain mortal experiences.
This mortal body would resurrect into an imortal body.
Useful lessons we obtain here are preparing us for the next live..
Lastly our journey did not begin here. Man existed before earth life

Yes, I know that Christianity is about faith. However, I also know that God didn't create us to be a robot but to make use of our super human intellect

If we are on earth to obtain a mortal body that allows us pass through mortality and gain mortal experiences, why then are some people experiences here on earth like punishment while others are having it rosy?

Because we are different. We all can not gain from the very same routine experience.
We did nothis come to this world on the same level of growth.
We cannot be tried by the same challenges.
Also our time here is bit a dot to our permortal and postmortal life.
Our travails here is live a pregnant woman in labour all is forgotten when the baby is born.

Remember the story of Job... it's no different from ours. We are all open to the trials of this world. Each in his own capacity. Let us bear and learn and grow from the things we pass through.
Mandela was imprisoned for 21 years yet he rose to be one of the greatest humans ever.
There are thousands of stories of men who built on bad experiences.

I didn't say you're not closer to him, I'm urging you to be a bit more. And corcerning the purpose, the bible says, the spirit reveal the deep things of God to those who believe and hold firmly unto him.

Hello id911.

I'm a Christian committed to following the Bible in every respect.

Your question is very good and, in my opinion, the right question with which every human life should start. But we all possess a free will to allow us to choose whether we will ask such questions and aggressively seek out the Truth in answer or just forget about it or make things up or take simple and untrue answers so that we can live life any way we please. It is a choice we all have to make. And I commend you for making the choice to ask the question in the first place.

As I have said, however, that is only the beginning. There are multiple answers to that question. Not all of them are true. As a matter of fact, only one of them is true. And, yes, it is possible to tell which one it is. But whether we will accept it as true or not is entirely up to us. We all have reasons for which we wish that a given answer or scenario is true. Whether we will be honest with ourselves about what we want and why or we will not be is up to us. Nobody will force us to face the Truth until after we die or the Lord Jesus returns.

As to the question itself, we are all here to make a choice whether we want to spend Eternity as part of God's Family, submitted to Him willingly and lovingly or whether we do not want such a thing.

God created everything that exists. He did so because He decided to have moral creatures who are able to make a free choice in a manner similar to His Perfectly Absolute freedom of Will to be His Eternal Family. The whole universe was originally created to provide these creatures with a place and time to exist in. But it was destroyed and then remade because of the rebellion of the first race of such creatures that God made: the angels.

When Satan rebelled and persuaded a third of the angels to join him, they damaged and defiled the perfect Universe that God made. This was why God created the Third Heaven and moved His Throne there. Then He destroyed that Universe with a Cosmic Flood out of which He re-created it in order to create a new race of moral creatures who are to replace the rebellious angels: man. All elect angels were taken to be with Him in the Third Heaven so that Earth was really and truly re-created for a physical creature like man who was a spirit made to live in a physical body formed from the dust of the earth.

Now, there are many who wonder honestly and those who wonder arrogantly too why God made creatures that could rebel. But that is a foolish question. God is God. He is absolutely free to do whatever He pleases. He owes absolutely no one any explanations for whatever He is pleased to do. He was pleased to create moral creatures who are responsible to choose whether they want to submit to His Authority or rebel against it. So He did. It is obviously easier to produce creatures that serve God by default. The animals are a clear example of creatures who make no moral choices at all. Human beings produce robots which do whatever we tell them to as well. The harder thing to do was to produce creatures that can choose to submit or rebel.

God did that. And He did that so that His Eternal Family will comprise only people who want to be part of it, not people who have no choice in the matter. So, each angel had their opportunity to decide whether they wanted to remain holy or whether they wanted to challenge God's Authority. Adam and Eve were also granted the same opportunity. After them, every single one of their descendants (except special cases like babies and those insane from birth) has the same chance.

That is why we are all here in this world. This world was designed to give human beings multiple opportunities to affirm their choices and either harden in them or grow weaker in them over time. When the testing is done, we die and go to our chosen places awaiting final judgment. Of course, for those who chose in life to submit to God, there is only the judgment for eternal reward which decides what each believer gains for eternity for the strength or weakness of their choice for God in this life. For unbelievers, on the other hand, the final judgment is nothing pleasant at all with absolutely no possibility of escape from the Lake of Fire.

So, both the joys and hardships of this life are only a series of tests for everyone to allow them to demonstrate what they really want. If any circumstance of this life is able to cause us to challenge or deny God's Authority over us, then we demonstrate that we have little or no desire to be submitted to God for the length of Eternity. If, on the other hand, we remain committed to obeying Him no matter what happens to us in this life, then we demonstrate that we are very willing to be His loving Children for all Eternity.

I hope this helps. I will be very happy to explain any part of this further if you want.

Thanks for your useful comment, I appreciate it. When I say, a lot of things going through my mind lately... I mean it! Why would the Almighty bring someone into this world and another person within the family decides to kill that person's potentials, not allowing the person to move forward, despite his/her legitimate struggle?

I'm sorry for what you are going through but, as I said, it is part of the testing of this life. God permits much to happen to us and even by Himself sends much our way (for discipline when we sin) so that we have an opportunity to demonstrate what matters most to us.

Unlike you may have heard in many churches of today, this life is not about financial success or public acclaim or "happiness". It is a war. The happiness that we have in this life is wholly spiritual having nothing whatsoever to do with our circumstances. And we can only have it if we are being diligent to learn the Truth in the Bible under a solid, orthodox Bible-teaching ministry and applying what we are learning and doing our best to help others who are willing to do the same. Financial success and public acclaim are things that we may or may not have. There is no guarantee given to believers that we will have them in this life. So, it is folly to run after them and even worse to judge God's faithfulness toward us by their presence or absence in our lives.

What God has promised to every believer who remains true to the end is Resurrection in perfect bodies which has abilities and powers that this world has never even begun to imagine. He promises that in the Millennium, all those who remain true until they die or the Lord Jesus returns will reign over the whole world with Him. He promises that He will at the end of the Millennium make a new Creation for us which will be completely perfect and devoid of all hurt and pain and regret and unhappiness of every sort. And we will rule over it with Him. We have so much more to look forward to than the meagre pleasures and riches of this world. So, we shouldn't be too heartbroken over the losses we must inevitably suffer in this life especially if we are determined to follow Christ.

Edit: God does promise too that in our trials and tribulations in this life, He will be with us and help us through everything. If we believe Him and do our best to walk closely with Him, we will also know the meaning of His Peace which triumphs over all troubles and His Joy which cannot be quenched by the griefs of this life.

Yes, everyone dies. Some even during infancy. Why is that? Are humans truly good or truly evil? Would a truly good being like God ever die?
