The Nigerian Air force base in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, was today in a state of confusion when Mrs Irobuisi, wife of Air Commodore CC Irobuisi who is presently the deputy director of safety defence headquarters Abuja, attempted to murder one of the soldiers in Air force secondary school in the capital city.

According to reports, the airman flogged her daughter for an indiscipline act, after which one of the female civilian teacher gave the daughter phone to report to her mum who immediately drove to the school with a cutlass, while discussions were on going.

Mrs Irobuisi removed the cutlass she concealed and attempted to kill the airman, fortunately the airman survived the attack. He is presently responding to treatment at NAF reference hospital in Port-Harcourt.

not really, if it was in the US, the soldier would have sacked from the military and arrested for assault and child abuse for flogging the woman's daughter. the soldier has no right to flog someones daughter we are not in the 80s or 90s

In case you don't know military schools are known for decipline. What is 80s or 90s are these kids of nowadays better off. Spare the rod and spoil the child i hope its not too difficult to understand.

What this article did not mention is the extent of brutality the soldier inflicted on the poor girl in the name of discipline. The girl passed out and had to be revived , also he didn't flog her with cane but wood. You need to see the bruises on the young girl's body. I am not holding brief for cutlass wielding Mother, her actions are condemnable and requires sanctions. But the soldier himself went over-board.

PS. My cousin attends that school and i happen to know the woman inqueston. She is a family friend.

There is no justification for what the soldier did. Imagine flogging someone's kid till she passed out. If it was your kid i doubt you'd want know what she did too
