ivandragon: I think the op was refering to an earlier video posted where it was claimed that the crash in that video was the one the VP was in...
my own concern is why would the VP of Nigeria use/hire a private chopper as a serving VP?
the security implications are massive & I know for a fact that the Presidency has 4 fully functional helicopters & if for any reason, all 4 are unserviceable (which is impossible), there are military helicopters that can & should have been used to ferry the president.
at the swearing in of Fayemi, there were 3 military helicopters present just for the organisation of the event, much less the VP of Nigeria.
so, while I hold my reservations about the circumstances surrounding the actual crash, I wonder what would have informed the use of private charter service.
it's either:
1. the VP cannot trust some one or some people within the presidency as per his safety... or
2. the VP is being purposely denied his due...
The owner of the helicopter company is yoruba, it's his way of channeling resources to his company for campaign.
dante0147: I see you are pondering what I am pondering!
well... there is much to ponder on the matter.
I am glad the VP is safe because regardless of political affiliations, human life is sacrosanct & cannot to subjected to the vagaries of partisan politics.
beyond that, questions must be asked not just for now, but to avoid/correct mistakes for the future.

Or maybe the trip was scheduled at a moments notice.

It's a general practice that when a vp or gov arrives at a certain location, the organization provides an heli for use. I'm not sure of the president
between wailers and moderators, I no know who mumu pass sef.. explorers has reasonable post out there and its not on front page,na this yeye lie when no go even sell for Whatsapp dey trend.
Nairaland is strictly for business so anything to gather traffic is okay by them

naijapips02: So I did a little search on Google and found out that
Instead if you to check credible website like channels or AIT if you like, you went online to fake blog and copy images and you will end up saying you are an investigative blogger now right?

regardless of the short notice. a military chopper would be called in. something untoward must have informed the use of a civilian chopper.
the only explanation that may seem plausible outside the conspiracy theories is that the VP just happened to be on the entourage of some other personality & decided to catch a ride, which considering the purpose for his being in kogi, doesn't add up...

How will the huge money mapped out for campaign be squandered within the few months for the campaign if not by awarding contracts to private aviation firms at exorbitant costs. Oga you dey learn work for naija politics?
I don't even know what to term this as, you just spent your Sunday morning concocting a story in your mind. You could have spent this time resting but no, you had to spend the time trying to belittle this situation just because there were no deaths. So should the VP or the pilot have died to ensure it was real. And of what political benefit is an accident? I would be glad if you can expantiate on that.
SaiAtikuTill203: You must believe in cartoon characters to believe BUHARI can defeat ATIKU
Sometimes, reality is difficult to stare at but best to face it
ATIKU can "NEVER" lose Buhari is the new Father Christmas in town! First, he gave Guinea Bissau $500,000 last week, and he has now approved a grant of 1 billion dollar for Sudan to enable them fight famine. This is a country that can't pay 30k naira minimum wage. A country that has been designated as the poverty capital of the world fighting poverty in another land. A country that has been borrowing and even trying to sell of its assets to finance a budget is giving to another country. A country that doesn't suffer famine, but its citizens are very hungry. This grant to a great extent revalidates the Jubrin saga! BUHARILOOTER must be voted out at all cost!
read the topic and read your comment and then convince us that you are normal

the VP is entitled to the same security protocols as the president.
a governor may use private chopper services, not the president & VP.

dont be greedy.. What of the ones Nigeria has been borrowing? It was equally from other countries. Does it mean they dont have wants to settle too?
People like OP and posts like this on FrontPage is the reason why a lot of sane, matured people are staying away from Nairaland, imagine the rubbish the OP and the mod conjured and moved to FP!
But you have to dig the bellies of NL to find interesting and educative threads, even explorers threads now linger in obscurity while dumb conspiracy theories like this dey make Front Page!!
At least if OP no well or lacks critical thinking, how about the mod that pushed this thrash to FP!
ThankGod for given us the only wise man in Africa.
with your wisdom you don't know the different between crash chopper with smokes all over, and crash chopper without smoke, your brain need resetting at any hospital In baga bornu state. VP confirm his chopper got crash and you seat at one side or none light area if possible no network and spreading your unpaid fake news. why can't you work for shakau and get paid that selling fake news without recognition

when I saw hired, I was surprised that vice president is hiring a chopper. as you said there is more to it
afroniger: The owners of the helicopter already confirmed the incident. Should the accident have claimed lives in order for you to believe it? This sort of politics you are playing is disgusting.
Op is maybe among the wicked people who aren't happy inside that osinbajo survived the crash. If he had died in the accident, some eediots will be over the Internet spewing trash, even attributing it to the divine.
