This is a well written article.

To butress the point of the writer, let us look at the crashed chopper of prof. Osinbajo. Obi and Osinbajo are not safe. Yeah. It is more about 2023 battle. I wish this 2019 is Osinbajo and Obi ticket. These are two combo that can take this country out of this mess. We need to get out of this mess before talking of anything else. APC and its next level slogan are unserious. But I do not see it happening. Nigeria is in another mess with Atiku or Buhari on board. But it seems Buhari just needs to go away. He has done enough damage. He should go rest and die in peace in Daura. And there are still many Osinbajo and Obi out there. Why Buhari and Atiku?

Another issue is that the ibo tribe needs to sit down and put Nigeria first. Hausa and Fulani are one if you want to hear the truth. If we are using rotational system (which by the way is a wrong strategy in my opinion), Fulani and Hausa are one. North (Fulani and Hausa) and South West (yoruba) have a strong understanding between themselves. If the ibos do not stop this crazy Biafra, Ipob, or whatever madness they are doing, they will not smell that seat in Aso rock. Rather, it is another Ijaw or Irobo puppet the solidified Yoruba-Hausa-Fulani algamation will put there. Atiku himself knows he is on a big mission by having an ibo as his vp. That was a big minus for him. He could easily pick Yoruba and counter Osinbajo and can make Fayose's work easier in SW. And I think this is the main point of Ayo Fayose. I am going to be straight forward without any fear. Ibos can be easily bought. So why bother pick a VP there if you want to win. I am sorry, but this is the main truth. Can you hear what Okorocha is saying? Or is it Orji Uzo Kalu? They can be bought easily to betray their own people. Let us just say the truth. By the way, Fayose is a big shot in pdp anytime. That man is the only man I see that can face Jagaban in SW. That he lost that election does not mean he is a coward. In fact, he did his best. He himself showed APC the strstegy to use against him. Lol.

The last point is that we must all make it about Nigeria first. Are we not tired of this mess we are in? I suggest we just revert to the old regional system. Let us just be under Nigeria with prime ministers from the regions we have now. To me, this will solve this barbaric war.

My biggest concern in the upcoming 2019 election is not the diehard northern buharists. My biggest worry, is the tribal taint various APC spokespersons, including Festus Keyamo have cast on the 2019 election. They are tribe-baiting Yorubas into a tribal war with the Igbos. They want to make the 2019 election about tribes and not issues, because they know the issues do not favor them.

They know Buhari is a disaster and a time bomb, but are only interested in the political capital they will make out of this looming national tragedy, if they succeed. To them, 2019 is no longer about Nigeria nor about Buhari's stewardship, but about Obi vs Osibanjo, and 2023 presidency. Who told you that you will be alive till 2023?

I'm not against any region's pursuit for political gain but lying against another region, displaying outright hatred and plot to deceive supporters to see enemies where friends are, should be condemned by all patriotic Nigerians irrespective of tribe. Their anti-nationalist narrative and propaganda is that Igbo's are rooting for Atiku because of Obi. For them, they think it is enough reason for Yoruba to support Buhari because of Osibanjo. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Igbos have never voted based on tribalism. You want a fact check?

In 2003 Igbos voted massively for OBJ/Atiku presidency against a Buhari that had Chuba Okadigbo; an illustrious son of Igbo land, as running mate. More worthy to note, is that there were two Igbo veterans on the presidential ballot; Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu and Jim Nwobodo. You all know what the former meant to Igbo people and yet they voted Yoruba/Fulani ticket for national unity.

In 2007, Igbos voted massively for Yaradua/GEJ (Fulani/Ijaw), against Buhari/Ume Ezeoke and you all know the rest. As at then, the narrative was that Igbos do not love themselves and do not support themselves. No! The truth is that Igbos have too much stake in the economy of Nigeria, and that would not allow them vote in an incompetent person due to tribal affiliations. However, agents of misinformation and destabilization are now tagging Igbos as tribalists just to justify their own unfounded tribalism.

To me personally, dredging of River Niger is more important to our region than having a vice president. As I write this, I have at least 5 Facebook posts, advising that Dr. Akinwumin Adesina would be a good asset in VP position and a perfect gentleman to counter Osibanjo narrative. Millions of Igbos like me exist.

However, with the emergence of Peter Obi, I took a look at his persona and found out that he is in fact a rare gem. He left 76bn Naira in savings for Anambra State. He moved Anambra State from 28th to 1st in UN education ranking. He left a 100m dollar worth of investment for Anambra in a factory, located in Abeokuta, and not in Igbo land. This shows you that Igbos think efficiency, competence and capability first, before tribe. Peter Obi is ahead of his peers and there is no past and present governor that can match his footprints and credibility.

Osibanjo is very good, but a single candle light cannot lit up a huge dark tunnel like Buhari's cabal presidency. With his role in the government, one would clearly see how Buhari rates him. Buhari does not even allow him use Presidential jets and helicopters. He almost died from a crash because he used a chopper owned by a private firm. They don’t rate him and would not rate him in 2023. However, if Osibanjo is the president, there is a 60% chance that Igbo's will vote for him massively to complete his term against Obi, irrespective of obi's credibility. History supports this because Igbos love Ojukwu more than Obi but we voted Obasanjo instead of Ojukwu.

Igbos have paid the highest price for this country's unity and have demonstrated their unalloyed nationalism in many fronts. It's the most insensitive and inhuman act to demonize Igbos as tribalists for not supporting a man that does not know he is the presidential candidate of

Yorubas have looked at both parties and what they can offer and can see that the PDP is a useless party for their regional interest. For 16 solid years, they can’t proudly point to one major infrastructure development for the people like what APC is doing and trying to do now

Yorubas don’t hate Ibos..if they do, they will not be trooping into lagos and other yorubas states daily. If yorubas truly hate you and treat you like Hausa/Fulani treats you, you will not survive in Nigeria

This is a well written article.

To butress the point of the writer, let us look at the crashed chopper of prof. Osinbajo. Obi and Osinbajo are not safe. Yeah. It is more about 2023 battle. I wish this 2019 is Osinbajo and Obi ticket. These are two combo that can take this country out of this mess. We need to get out of this mess before talking of anything else. APC and its next level slogan are unserious. But I do not see it happening. Nigeria is in another mess with Atiku or Buhari on board. But it seems Buhari just needs to go away. He has done enough damage. He should go rest and die in peace in Daura. And there are still many Osinbajo and Obi out there. Why Buhari and Atiku?

Another issue is that the ibo tribe needs to sit down and put Nigeria first. Hausa and Fulani are one if you want to hear the truth. If we are using rotational system (which by the way is a wrong strategy in my opinion), Fulani and Hausa are one. North (Fulani and Hausa) and South West (yoruba) have a strong understanding between themselves. If the ibos do not stop this crazy Biafra, Ipob, or whatever madness they are doing, they will not smell that seat in Aso rock. Rather, it is another Ijaw or Irobo puppet the solidified Yoruba-Hausa-Fulani algamation will put there. Atiku himself knows he is on a big mission by having an ibo as his vp. That was a big minus for him. He could easily pick Yoruba and counter Osinbajo and can make Fayose's work easier in SW. And I think this is the main point of Ayo Fayose. I am going to be straight forward without any fear. Ibos can be easily bought. So why bother pick a VP there if you want to win. I am sorry, but this is the main truth. Can you hear what Okorocha is saying? Or is it Orji Uzo Kalu? They can be bought easily to betray their own people. Let us just say the truth. By the way, Fayose is a big shot in pdp anytime. That man is the only man I see that can face Jagaban in SW. That he lost that election does not mean he is a coward. In fact, he did his best. He himself showed APC the strstegy to use against him. Lol.

The last point is that we must all make it about Nigeria first. Are we not tired of this mess we are in? I suggest we just revert to the old regional system. Let us just be under Nigeria with prime ministers from the regions we have now. To me, this will solve this barbaric war.

Thank you sir, that the main issue we need be talking abt and not these buhari (Apc) and Atiku (Pdp) issue.
Let's look beyond them, look for a third force and a better and grounded person and not these so called cabals, it's just like the kettle calling the pot black.
The problem of Nigeria up till today is that 1999 Constitution and until we fight to remove it I guess we Will remain like these cos that Constitution has over use it's stay it should be eradicated.

The other time, Fashola. Seriously, I dislike this country with passion. Our elites are capitalizing on the weakness of the millions of illiterates..

There's dislike on all sides, but the difference i see between Ndigbo and Yoruba is that while the Igbos mostly do theirs on social media, the Yoruba on the other hand have a lot of their elite showing their own dislike out in the open! Besides the ones you mentioned, i can recall the Oba of Lagos and one Yoruba doctor in the USA also making wicked remarks about Igbos. And rewinding further back, you have the actions and words of Awo during the uncivil war; the rant by Akintola against Ndigbo (i think there's a youtube video on it); and the actions and words of black scorpion during the uncivil war in which he basically insinuated that Igbos were no better than animals to be wasted at will!

I've come to realise that this country just cannot contain the three major tribes, and this is one of the main reasons i want separation....to have my people live their lives in a country devoid of the Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani elite! Don't get me wrong....the average Yoruba (sadly, not fulani....their own wahala even percolates down to their masses on the street) can get visas and come visit or live and work in our new country that would emerge! I just don't want them in a position to make decisions that would affect Igbo interests!

I don't hate anyone....it's just a survival thing! sad

U are completely right. Their elites make hate speech every now and then. I mean so much since the days of Awolowo. I strongly believe that allowing the nations within Nigeria to go separate ways will help the country in general.
