Grange School, BIS, Lekki British School or AISL? by Passion2009: 9:34am On Feb 06, 2019
Hello, nairalanders. I want to enroll a child in a top secondary school in Lagos that offers British curriculum - due to IGCSE, TOEFL and S.A.T exams for university education in the United States or U.K.

The fee is not an issue but I really want where the child will get value for money. I would have loved to go for Loyola Jesuit College in Abuja but the distance and admission process of Loyola is not flexible enough.

I've visited Grange Secondary School at Ikeja and they are quite impressive.

Lekki British School is also very impressive likewise British International School and American International School, Lagos.

Another option to somewhat consider is Greensprings School in Anthony - their records are impressive.

Is there anyone familiar with these schools? Any deal breaker or edge?

(1). Grange Secondary School, Ikeja.

(2). Lekki British School, Lekki Phase 1

(3). British International School, Lagos.

(4). American International School, Lagos.

(5). Greensprings School, Anthony, Lagos.

Any reviews?

Thank you

I've been to Loyola Jesuit and I've been to Grange. Grange is impressive, Loyola is way more impressive, very beautiful school. I'd say do it. People shuttle weekly between cities so travel shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure how much discipline there is at AIS, BIS or Lekki British but if I had to make a choice going strictly by the "international" education you seek, I would choose AIS because it is really the only AUTHENTIC expatriate owned and run school in Lagos. Students come from everywhere and teachers are largely expatriate unlike the other three schools. That being said, things are not the way they used to be. The world is going mad so you might want to include discipline/moral principles in choosing a school.

Second choice will be grange. From my knowledge (outdated), they outperform other British curriculum schools in Lagos in the iGCSE exams and admission is mildly competitive.

Thank you so much. What about Greensprings, Anthony? Any contact with them? Their reviews appear impressive too.
