In 2011, SW had the lowest election turnout at 32% and repeated this same turnout in 2015. SW is more apolitical than SE.

In 2011, out of all the votes casted in the South, SW contributed only 28% while SE/SS contributed the other 72%.

Out of the all votes casted for PDP in the South, SW contributed only 20% while SE/SS accounted for the other 80%. SW gave PDP 2.7 M votes while SE gave PDP 5M votes.

The 2.7M votes SW gave to PDP equals 60.4% of their total votes. This means SW gave PDP 60% of their votes.

2015, They gave Buhari 60% of their votes again and on Feb, they will also give Buhari 60%. This is too poor to return Buhari now that NC is gone and parts of NW.

This is the reason APC are trying hard to make incursion into the SE/SS.

Yorubas give block votes but SW doesn't. As long as their Non-indigenes who bear PVC in SW, SW will never fail to give their traditional 60-40.
