I use VISA but I guess Verve has limitations and MasterCard seems to be the best option.

They have you verve card because of the type of account you opened. You did not open your account with a valid ID card like drivers license, voters card or international passport

Verve is local.
MasterCard and visa are international.
Simple.

Visa card: do any other thing mastercard does, but may not transfer funds on machine to other banks (it is an on the spot card too)

Verve card: so useless, and usually issued on the spot. They are used for local transactions, where the issuing bank is domicile

Besides some ATM will reject verve in Nigeria. They say its not smart.

Visa = Mainly for Online purposes anywhere in the world. Cannot transfer money to others banks

Verve = Mainly for ATM transactions and not accepted worldwide
