Impact acquires Nigerian striker Orji Okonkwo on loan from Bologna
The Montreal Impact have acquired Nigerian forward Orji Okwonkwo on loan from Italian club Bologna FC for the 2019 season, the MLS side announced Tuesday.
Okwonkwo, 21, scored three goals in 27 Serie A appearances (four starts) with Bologna since joining the team in 2016.
"I'm satisfied in welcoming another striker to the team," Impact head coach Remi Garde said in a statement. "Orji Okwonkwo is a young player scouted by Bologna three years ago who will help reinforce the team offensively. He's a strong and quick forward who has an interesting margin of progression. I would like to welcome him to the team."
In 2015, Okwonkwo played for the Nigerian team that won the U17 World Cup. He appeared in five matches and scored one goal.
The Impact open the 2019 MLS regular season on March 2 on the road against the San Jose Earthquakes.

That was complete stewpidity. Akwa did that same nonsense on Monday, winning 4-0 and still trying to waste time. I don't like that mentality at all.

I will add better is not the right word but COMPARABLE because any of these clubs can at any time beat each other.

In all honesty, you want to believe that a full strength PSG team(nevermind this team without Neymar and Cavani and 35year old RB as a winger) will beat Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Bayern, City, Barcelona or Dortmund? I specifically did not add Juve because they have been less than impressive. Remember that PSG with a full team could not beat Napoli.

The fact of the matter is that this Manchester United team is a joke, just like the Arsenal team they defeated(no offence oh). I told people that ManU is the easiest draw any team could ask for, Porto would bite your hands off if you offer them ManU. The defence is poor and whenever Pogba is having a bad game(like he does whenever he plays against an elite midfielder) the attack crumbles. ManU did not have a meaningful shot at goal in OLD TRAFFORD. And without Lindgard and Martial to take some of the attention off Pogba I see Chelsea winning handsomely on Monday. Forget the scoreline against City, Chelsea played way way better than Arsenal did, and with a little bit of luck in front of goal would have scored atleast 3, play like that against ManU and they will score 3.

Youngster Hamdi Akujobi has made his debut for the first team of Dutch club SC Heerenveen in a 3-0 win at HHC Hardenberg.

Defensive midfielder Akujobi, 19, played the last 15 minutes of the friendly Tuesday night.

He was composed in the heart of the midfield to contribute positively to his team’s win.

“He did well for the time he was in action,” said proud father Chika Conleth Akujobi.

“He’s ready to take the next big step in his career.”

The youngster, who last year trained with the Flying Eagles, has been outstanding for Heerenveen U19s and his future is expected to be decided shortly.

just hope he spring one or two passes upfront.... there is no use for a defensive midfielder who can't play deep to link the defense with the attack and also shot effectively..

wish him all the best...

He can link with Ndidi to shield the defense while Iwobi plays as an AM

Rohr's scouting are always spot on so I'm not worried

What's it with you and false accusations? What level have you seen me place Samu on? You said he has to go to the WYC and that is false because even the coach has named him as a prospect for the AFCON. If you are saying it is in the interest of the nation that he goes to the AFCON that means even you yourself know what he brings to the table. I am all for not hyping a player but don't bring them down unnecessarily.

What False accusation are you talking about here?
I opined that Chukwueze is not at the level some of you guys are placing him and u say false accusations. Were u not here when he was likened to Rooney and some even said he would bench DI Maria at PSG? Even if you were not among those that said it, that comment is not directed at you in particular.

False accusation of what? Please stop being too sentimental.

That pix was taken during the 2002WC qualifiers. Ify was 21years old then. Not football age but real age. He was born in 1980 and graduated from Mile2 secondary school in 1997 at the age of 17.

You can see that sometimes using pictures to judge someone's age can be deceitful.
