TAEMIN: WANT (2ND MINI ALBUM)

So I like SOME Taemin songs e.g Press Your Number, Sayonara Hitori, Flame of Love, Thirsty, Move.
I'm not a stan though, I just think he's talented.

This is my first comeback of his and the first full album I'll listen to.
The title track has set a high standard for me so FINGERS CROSSED.

WANT: So I didn't like the teaser videos for this song. I thought it looked like an over saturated mess.
I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!
Neither the video nor the song is over saturated in anyway.
There's very little flashing imagery, the beat is so nice and "CHILLY DANCYISH".
It's TAEMINISH!!!!!!!!
The DANCING!!!!!!!!, I prefer intricate, detailed movements to the normal hiphoppy stuffz that's rampant and THARRIS WHAT I GOT!!!!!!
I think this song and the video go excellently together.
The one slight criticism I'd have is that just like MOVE, AT TIMES, the song may be boring WITHOUT the video.

That being said, this is a 5/5, GET YO GIRL PREGNANT SONG!!!!!!!

Disclaimer: I've heard the chorus already so it's not completely new.

Artistic Groove: Okay this is a groovy song but eeeehhhhhhh, it sounds like WANT. It's like WANT PART 2.
Is it naija film? Lol.

But for real, I only like the chorus and pre-chorus. The rest is just okay. I feel like it didn't do his voice any justice.

Shadow: This sounds like the end credit song for a dramatic, action romance like THE TOURIST or something.

I like it because IT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has its own identity.
Now, it may not fall under your repeat list but if it comes up on shuffle, you'll enjoy it A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truth: Okay. Nothing special about this.
I KNOW the song is called TRUTH, but he said truth a tad too much for me.

It was a ballad and as a ballad, it was average. I've heard better e.g EXO - Moonlight, I've heard worse ASTRO - Morning Call.

Never Forever: Now this sounds like the soundtrack of a NICOLAS SPARKS ROMANCE MOVIE e.g The Notebook.

Eeehhhhhh, I really don't know how to feel about this song.
It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible, it wasn't average.
It's between just a bit over average and the chorus is catchy.
Will I ACTIVELY try to listen to it again, eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh guess?

Monologue: Okuuuuurrrrrrrrrr.
Me likey. It's just the right amount of haunting so it's not sad sad.
That chorus though, I love LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Finally, A F*CKING SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This song takes you through stages so when you get to the end, you feel like you were part of the song or you even wrote the lyrics, you were telling your story.

Ended on SUCH A HIGH!!!!!!!

Want Outro: I'd have preferred if he didn't sing OR he did something else with his voice here.

Just as I was thinking of the perfect movie this would fit, he started to do what he did. Oh well, B for effort.

Okay. So I know that Taemin stans would ask me which one I've sang that I'm criticising their OPPA but we'll all be alright last last.

So Monologue is my favorite song on the album and I'm very, very, VERY HAPPY with it.

It was a good album. Solid title track, a bit of variety in the B tracks.
A 3.5/5 rating is pretty good for a solo album.
Well done Lee Taemin!!!!!!!!!

On a more serious note, your review is coming from your personal taste and not a spiteful place so I'm not annoyed. Personally, i loooove want, want outro, artistic groove, monologue. The rest i like but i still need to give the full album more listens before i can rank them in order of preference. He did well as always but i think generally, move was a better album. Move had fewer forgettable tracks to me and it had 2 more songs than want.

Hold up, you think move can maybe at times be boring without the video, heol, not me. That beat doesn't even need a video to stimulate me(why does this sound weird, I need better synonyms). And honestly the video is kinda ingrained in my brain, that once I hear the song I immediately picture taemin and koharu and I dance my head away.

P.S : I would totally have koharu's baby, I don't even care about the biology involved

I don't know who Taemin is really but after alot of talks about his album here I decided to listen to it. I watched his want video and it was pretty good and I like it.

Their relationship is just GORGEOUS to watch.

I love the whole "blurb" experience.
She learned a valuable lesson but she still stood up for herself.

That end credit scene too, MY HEART!!!!!!!

This drama is really getting better and better.
I just wish there was no second male lead or he just finds a way to respect himself.

Episode 4.

The way I'm enjoying this drama is some devilish joy level sh*t.

I ADORE their relationship.

Dani and Eun Ho are PERFECT.
They balance out each other so beautifully and their PRACTICALLY a married couple.

As for uncle second male lead, "OH P*SS OFF" (in Jason Statham's voice).

I think this'll go like "What's wrong with secretary Kim".
Some dark, misconstrued back story BUT the main plot is the LOVE!!!!!!!!

I hope there's no UNNECESSARY break up at Ep 10-14, I'm BEGGING!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to the weekend!!!!!!

Okay, lemme look at this from both sides.
He was just trying to be nice. It was not from any special place really so, when something special came up he could cancel.
She likes the guy but knows he doesn't feel same. Still got excited about hanging out.
I can't blame either of them really, it's just an "oopsie" situation.

Lee Jong Suk does "exasperated" so well.
I love how he's codedly prying and pushing.
I'm genuinely interested in this relationship.

Please y'all should not ruin this excellent drama with this UNNECESSARY second male lead.

It was going to be a 10 but the last few seconds ruined it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
I hate Ms Go, she's doing her job but she doesn't HAVE to be stupid about it.

I HATE the second male lead.
I understand that he's useful to the plot in that she needs to have another relationship to compare with what she has with Lee Jong Suk but I still HATE HIM.
I'll NEVER understand the use of second leads, male or female.
A story can work JUST FINE without them. Take Devilish Joy, The K2, Legend of the blue sea as examples.

I may not watch the next two episodes cause I honestly don't want to see her date the new guy.
I know it may seem unrealistic and like I'm overly sensitive about a drama but I'm romantic like that.
It's unnecessary to hurt other people before becoming happy and that's what they do with the second leads (male and female).

It's still a 10/10 episode, putting my annoyance aside.
But I'm NOT looking forward to the weekend

First of all, I love the use of Michel Buble's "I just haven't met you yet".

Secondly, the Descendants of the Sun references, ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ.

I enjoyed this episode a lot.
It was really funny in a realistic way.
They didn't overdo the humor or the main characters in any way.
Plus, the storyline flowed well.
I REALLY like her confidence too. She's a case BUT she's a confident case.

I love these two!!!!!!!!!!

I loled at her reaction.
I love how all the chinching they couldn't do in Goblin, they're unleashing it here.
I'm so happy and entertained.

I love her drunk.
This nigga shifted for her to pass, my goodness.ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I love this office.
They're not afraid or in awe of her and they keep taking shots at him. I love it.

Mr Kwon is actually a nice person.
Why is this girl driving?!!!!!! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

This drama is excellent.
Like there's no unnecessary dramatics.
This guy is a NICE GUY, forget all the meanness. He's just a hardworking, stoic young man but SHE'LL BRING FUN to his life.

I love, LOVE the ending scene. I already started singing the ost as she started falling.
I'm really really looking forward to this drama.
