Yes, stipend from teaching assistanstship will be enough to cover it. The "FEES" are usually small fees like international students fees, orientation fees and the likes. The fees should not exceed a few hundred dollars.

My brother, it's really unnerving, it seems those schools have forgotten some of us. Hearing of admit from other programs of thesame school makes it even more unbearable. We'll laugh last!!!!

I applied for a standard internship and even progressing from one stage to another is war.

To progress to another stage, I need to receive congrats mail, once I see the gmail notification, my heart skips a bit... This is just in less than 48 hours

Same thing for me, I deleted gradcafe from my bookmarks. I call some of my university almost every week.now I guess the secretary or administrative assistant would have known my number. The anxiety is intense.

You're correct. I know someone who is there now (PhD Mechanical Engineering) and since he got in, all the promises of funding have been a mirage. He's from a rich family so he is pulling through. Michigan Tech is really disappointing considering the nature of industrial work in Michigan

If the funding covers all your expenses, you may have to send the funding letter from your department to the International office or Bursary, whichever one is applicable.
However, if the funding doesn't cover all expenses, then you have to show enough personal funds to cover the shortfall.

When you say cover all expenses, do you mean things like flight ticket, accommodation etc

Question 1)

On a certain project the only grades awarded were 80 and 100. If 10 students completed the project and the average of their grades was 94, how many earned 100?

LOL just going through all the messages here.
Another way of solving this without setting up algebraic equations is to first try equal numbers for both 80 and 100 scorers, that's 5 each. Average would be 90 that implies, number of 100 scorers should be greater than 5 thus A, B, and C are out. Try 7 so it means 700 plus 240 which is 940/10 that's 94 which is correct.
