According to Facebook user Chuks Nonso, the children's father was at work (night shift) while the mother went for a vigil and the housemaid who was assigned to take care of the children - allegedly sneaked out of the home to be with her boyfriend.

The children were burnt beyond recognition as help couldn't come their way on time.

According to reports, the heartbroken couple are set to bury the charred remains of their children soon.

Plus who still light candles these days? It's bn close to 12 years or more since i last lit one...there are a lot of extremely cheap light sources out there (some as low as N200)...cylinders already portends danger on their own, it is plain carelessness for one to now add all these poorly manufactured Nigerian candles; that bows down within 5 mins of lighting it.

As for d housemaid...d damage she's caused is a enough punishment for her...a trauma she will never overcome.
