I felt and my heart melt for the family of those children but hey, I blamed the wife (the mother) of those children because how on earth will u leave all of them behind for the sake of God. Assuming that I am the father and the husband of this woman, she won't live to tell the story of it.... her generation will weep for her and her family will never forget the incident in their generation to come. Parents cannot leave kids the whole night like that. The said housemaid might not be more than 16. If you must attend a Virgil, let your husband be at home like his night off.

Religiosity does not exempt one from misfortune. Therefore one must still do the preventive and protective functions to ensure safety. Just faith is not enough.

Granted, the mother or the maid could still have died in the fire with the kids were there at home. But at least the blatant neglect would not have been there.

as much as God will want to protect people the life of some people makes it difficult for God to protect them so shit happens. People go vigil for different reasons and not everyone in vigil belongs to God. Someone can be praying and worshipping but his heart is far from God so when devil attacks he's not in found in divine protection

We keep blaming the house help but m just wondering how our women too behaves all in the name of church without wisdom. Serving God is good but it must be done with wisdom . Her laziness to take the kids to church with her has caused her and husband this. Hmmm she went to church service alone..... I only pity the husband that went to work in search of daily bread for the family ...

Stop making baseless assumptions about the mother. No doubt she should not have gone for vigil on a night that her husband was also on night shift. One of them should have been at home with the kids. You don't entrust the safety of your children to a maid. That having been said, let us also remember that the mother is definitely in great sorrow right now. It serves no purpose to punish her further with wicked comments. Let her be.

She should not have left her kids alone with a maid. She should not have gone for vigil on a night her husband was also unavailable. Her lack of wisdom does not mean she didn't go to serve God... Remember Job who suffered great calamity despite the fact that God described him as righteous? The bible says be vigilant because the devil seeks those to devour. The bible also says wisdom is the principal thing. Above all, let's still pity the woman and of course her husband. It is a great tragedy that has befallen them

I doubt if the wife actually go to a vigil in a church. Is her church barring children and maid from coming to vigil? If truly he went to serve God, she would have served God with her household. She should have gone with her children and the maid.
