If Jesus Christ whom you emulate in your fraudulent preaching of the gospel could pay his tax, then you have no excuse whatsoever not to comply.

Matthew 17:24–27

24 When Jesus and the others arrived in Capernaum, the collectors for the temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Does your teacher pay the temple tax?”

25 “Yes, he does,” Peter answered.
After they had returned home, Jesus went up to Peter and asked him, “Simon, what do you think? Do the kings of this earth collect taxes and fees from their own people or from foreigners?”

As you can see from this scripture above, Jesus Christ humbled himself by paying his taxes without putting up any resistance, and so, all the Pentecostal, Catholic & other denominations should follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ - by paying their taxes to the Government, else their monies should be confiscated & assets nationalized.

Since the Pharisees practised Judaism, wasn't Jesus a jew? The standard is the Holy scriptures. Why are there diversity in beliefs in the scriptures? The answer is not far fetched. In Romans 10:2-4 it says thus:
"For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to accurate knowledge. 3 For because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God".
So wat exactly is the righteousness of God? 2 Timothy 3:16 says:
"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work".
If therefore there are diversities in beliefs among Christians, is there diversity in the scriptures? No! The reason for diversity is failure of so called Christians to agree with the scriptures, which is the only standard by which God rules us. Some Christians believe in hell, life after death, rapture, 666 as a physical mark given to non-raptured Christians, worship of Mary, the cross, rosaries, etc. Does th bible teach or support these? Rather than look at the scriptures, we look at personalities of "pastors", scintillating stories, visions, etc. Not minding if these are contrary to the scriptures. No wonder Jesus said that the truth belongs to children. U know who children are? Learning minds. Not minds stiffened with blind doctrines. I encourage u to find dis truth.

Unfortunately you missed the point. Everyone who calls himself a Christian needs the guidance of the church to interprete the Bible.

And the only Church that has the authority to interpret the Bible is the one that compiled it in the first place.

Lol. I didn't want to prolong the matter. You are a protestant, my own beliefs tend towards Catholicism and Yogi so there isn't much common grounds for us really.

For example, if I told you that the Bible isn't the sole/only source of God's truth and revelation to Christians, you would never believe me, would you?

It's high time the rule on celibacy is reviewed by the Catholic Church..some church doctrines should be reviewed with realities on ground...

The catholic church should amend their laws to pave way for their cardinals, Reverend Father to get married and have children. Above all enjoy a fulfilling sexual lifestyles.

This will reduce drastically incidences of sexual offences, pedophiles etc

Celebacy lifestyle is killing the roman catholic churches of which a review should be put in the pipeline.

Reverend father, reverend sisters are sex starved because of the catholic church traditional doctrine that forbid them from getting married.

This incidences is a reminder to the Vatican and the rest of our orthodox churches that an amendment of the laws is what should be the next step to save the church from embarrassment.

Some will argue that it was the personal choice or decision of the Cardinal to take up the profession of Reverend father having been preinformed of what it entails which actually involves celibacy lifestyle of which nobody forced him to.

And that the Cardinal had no valid argument other than to comply with the rules of the church.

But it is of necessity to note here that it is the roman catholic church which is the main body of the church that is experiencing the bulk of the embarrassment and shame not fully the accused cardinal.

stop trying to cover evil..call a spade a spade. .I've been opportune to be very close to some priests and rev.brothers..so I have eye witness info .. .the review of celibacy is long overdue..you can see how difficult it is for non-celibates..how much more when the celibacy issue forced

I actually called a spade a spade, celibacy does not cause sexual abuse, that is like saying marriage causes adultery.

an abuser is an abuser whether married or celibate.
I have also been opportuned to live among priests and brother not just been close to them and their life has been nthing short of an inspiration to me. I also have never met a person forced into celibacy, they usually chose it knowingly.

The offence happened over half a century ago. The priest must have been in his 30s at the time. But what I don't understand is if the accused was given adequate defense and what evidence was used to nail him since the alleged crime was committed over 50years ago.

The bible warned about these people. The Bible said they would forbid people to get married.

When you try to alter what God has made normal for a man by telling him to serve as a minister (from the young age at which he starts) he must say goodbye to sex, you can expect all these things to happen.

God said go and multiply.

They said don't marry.

How will these things not happen?


What we see in the public is only a tip of the iceberg, with regards to what happens behind closed doors, and the psychological pain and struggle these catholic ministers silently go through
all their lives

but the fact remains that most catholic priests have indulged in one form of sex or the other ..you may not know as a man...but most times out of respect for that priestly office most of these things are kept secret. ..however I still maintain celibacy should be reviewed. ..it will not make them less worthy of the anointing
