RELEVANT INFORMATION

Don't be carried away thinking it will close in the night of Friday, it is actually closing in the night of Thursday which enters Friday at 12am... Which means it actually closes on Thursday midnight. Once you cross over to Friday after 12 midnight, the portal closes!

And also, you must note that it is not advisable to register on the last days as the portal usually malfunctions that day due to too many people trying to use it simultaneously... and the school would not reconsider that as a reason to postpone the registrations.

It happened to many students last semester as they could not register their courses due to slow portal on the last day until the thing finally closed. I assisted about 5 students in paying their fees online and then registering their courses on that last day. I only succeeded with just 2 students out of them all. The others ended up not being able to register for that semester as the portal malfunctioned till it closed...it was heavy, draggy and extremely slow. You had to repeat the same registration process up to 3 or more times before it finally goes in. At a time, you click on 5 courses to register and it's only one that goes in and u have to keep doing it one by one until the others would go in, despite the slow loading of the site. it was very hectic! I would not advise any students to wait till the last day... Try as much as possible to meet up with the registration between now and Wednesday at the latest.

ALERT!!

Exam Registration is currently not working well... Anyone who knows any staff in the ICT department of NOUN should raise the alarm to then.

From something that happened last semester, I got to find out that most of the times, the school is not aware of the faults with the portal and if no one complains to them, they won't know.

There was an issue that lingered last semester for almost one week and it was not known to the ICT department until one of you guys went to VI to see the ICT... and one of the officials from Abuja was around at that time and he rectified the issue, telling the complainer that it did not come to their observation in any way.

Registration is closing in the midnight between Thursday and Friday (12am) and this problem must be resolved before then.

The school has been inconsiderate about students welfare since last semester. They closed the TMA portal without prior notifications and this affected many students' results. Despite all the alarm raised and the reasons given to them by students to re-open the portal, all the efforts proved abortive. Also, the registration portal closed last semester despite the gross malfunctioning of the portal, which eventually deprived students from being able to register their courses and exams especially on that last day of registration. Despite all alarms raised, they still did not re-open the portal at least for another 24hrs.

Hence, alarm must be raised as soon as possible, concerning this exam registration issue, as students have just less four days to go and the school will not extend the registration even if they were the reasons why students could not register.

Guys who have gone through the NOUN screening process before can you please tell the rest of us what the screening is like? Is it like an oral test? If yes what subjects does the screening cover?

Hello good people.

I got admission to NOUN late last year (around November) for PGD. I did all the necessary verifications and screening and I was told next resumption semester is January. January is here, I have been trying to register on the portal since January and what constantly shows is: "The matric number is not on the programme list! Please meet an Admin Officer!". I have gone to my study centre countless times....the woman in charge has since forwarded the issue, but no one is treating it at the NOUN Headquarter. There are few other people encountering this issue in my study centre and also haven't gotten headway.

Can someone with this kind of experience suggest something that can be done? I don't want to miss the registration deadline. sad sad I thought NOUN was different and doesn't have all these administrative bottlenecks, which plagued my undergraduate days. I feel a bit disappointed already. sad

This is weird oh! Has this issue been resolved?

Good afternoon bro.
I just discovered the INR441 i was suppose to register as carry over which was showing incomplete NE but i did the exam is no longer showing in my portal as either carry over or the incomplete NE alongside with other INR courses that i have passed before. What could be the cause and solution to it? Its an elective course.

I hope this applies to those of us who completed ALL requirement in Dec 2017...An institution should be organized..NOUN started well but gradually it is going the way of Nigeria. Mr Hardworking student can you plan with NOUN...in the last 2years...show any area where we have had consistency. Education affords you an opportunity to develop your brain muscles!
