Chrisagyei, let me tell you something....
The number of Nigerian students studying in Ghana will keep increasing and trust me its not solely because of ASUU strike!

Every year over a million (mostly over 1.5 million) Nigerian students seek admission to tertiary institutions every year and the number of universities in Nigeria isn't really enough, coupled with the fact that most students prefer to apply for the more prestigious public universities ahead of the Private universities.

Less than 500,000 students get admitted to universities here! Those who cant secure admission to universities will opt for polytechnics or college of educations while those who want to attend universities at all cost will pick Ghana and other West African countries..
So in essence,Ghana is just a dumping ground for students who couldn't secure admission here!

The certificates from most of those mushroom private universities in Ghana are worthless in Nigeria.. You know that too! So those paying millions of naira to attend such schools are just wasting their money!

And finally, stop trying to make it look like a big deal that there are a lot of Nigerians studying in your country! ..Nigerians are studying in the UK, US,Germany, China and India too.. Nigeria accounts for the most students from Africa among the ivy league schools...
We are everywhere mate...that's the undiluted truth grin
I actually want to know those two cowards who liked your comment and hiding behind your back like you being their dad and rescuing them from shame, let them COME OUT!.Before you admitting, they were screaming ignorantly, the number is reducing,No or very few Nigerians come to Ghana to study again buh now the tone has changed.Listen, your population growth is madly ugly.37 million in the 50s during independence,150 million in. 2010 and 200 million in 2019 just 9 years after and over 50 million additional people scavenging on almost the same highly limited and deplorable infrastructure with little difference and deterioting with time.Trust me,Nigeria needs not only Jesus buh the whole Trinity to save her.Now you are singing"That's how we are,we love studying abroad"crazy fellas

calm ur nerves. There's no explicable point in ur rants and there's nothing special about 'twin city'.
Stop the hypocrisy and tell that lazy ignoramus who is probably embarrassing himself by telling his family members and friends that Ghana has only one city.At least you have understood that his statement is fallacious and we don't scramble 27 million people on a barely 1500 sq km land calling it a city and left to survive on their own with nothing,.not even stable electricity, good drinking water and at least fairly good roads and other basic amenities.

Well,I can't speak about the Kenyans side of the topic buh all the same their electricity situation I guess will be very good and on the Ghanaian issue, yes,we need your gas to power some of our plants buh not up to 40% because we have two mega dams with the Volta Lake reservoir been the world's largest artificial lake and aside that the Bui Dam supplying hundreds of megawatts and numerous power plants and power ships. And your gas is not free,we're charged and we pay for it although you don't deliver the agreed quantity.Electricity is also 24/7 with over 90% national access rate.Try verifying from anyone you know in Ghana. That's my take on the issue.

My point in that post is to tell that the entire Ghana even accra cannot boast of 24 hours electricity. ...it is only south africa that is very close to that because the amount of electricity they generate is equal the size the 49 sub Sahara african countries is sharing...

And also is this that tema you have been bragging about.....at least I did you the favour of not digging further for the slum.....I presume that should be the village center (not city center because is not even qualified to be called a poultry farm) which mean that is the best it's got grin grin grin

That's the poorest region in Ghana buh their quality of life is just like any other Ghanaian. We develop human resource and social infrastructure like good roads, portable drinking water, schools and massive educational facilities, agriculture, energy that is easy access to electricity,a modern teacheing hospital and free healthcare in the entire region, peace and security regional hospital and various hospitals and healthcare centers, numerous well equipped Secondary schools which is all 100% free including boarding facilities,a regional public University that offers even medical science courses and a Technical University, high merchanized farming agriculture and several food warehouse and silos.all with a population of less than 700,000 so no stress on public facilities. That is Tamale, the. Savannah City.Forget the skylines, that is solely private investments and trust me if the human resources are developed, the skylines will start springing up.Mind you,all what I mentioned are features of the poorest region according to Ghanaian standards. It's a dry Savannah northern city zone with majority being Muslims and very peaceful buh there are one or two chieftency conflicts in its rural surrounding communities which are mostly controlled.

I don't know how they do it buh note that we are a 29 million population with about 5000 megawatts of electricity production and our electricity are efficiently distributed with huge electricity substations in every town with modern facilities and equipment for better distribution to every home.I can easily testify an uninterrupted power supply this whole year for example. When they want to carry out extension and repair works, they announce it on major public and private radio and tv stations of their intended purpose on a said and provided date and particular time which doesn't exceed 8 hours and deeply apologise for the inconvenience.Electricity is 24/7 and you can ask any Nigerian in Ghana or been here before and they will easily testify.I easily testify buh admit the bills are too much although we use modern prepaid metres which gives you alert on your mobile phone. And don't confuse Tema which is a huge industrial city and has the biggest Port in Ghana with Tamale Savannah City which is the poorest according to Ghanaian standards buh have all the necessary human development policies. They are two different cities in Ghana.

You see, that is for the poorest region in Ghana.About roads,a country of 239,000 sq km has a road network of 77,000 with about 40 percent in good conditions and a country of over 950,000 sq km which is more than 4 times the size of Ghana has a road size of about 190,000 sq km.And we all depend 99% on road as a means of transportation and Nigeria having q very poor road condition with about 28,000 paved roads out of 193,000 sq km of roads.Tell me,who is better?

First, understand how we compound it. We've got the formal and the informal sector.

These are the minimums in wages of each occupation that Kenyans earn https://wageindicator.org/salary/minimum-wage/kenya/2182-cities-nairobi-mombasa-and-kisumu

And about Nigeria, why is the minimum wages even of states workers set at 18000 naira? This is grossly low!
forgiveness:

Thank God you have agreed. 82 dollars is ya minimum wage. grin

Kenya is not Nigeria. Already 70% of us have access. In my village, all my neighbors have access and unlike you who are lucky to have 8 hours of electricity in a day, in my village, we count ourselves unlucky if we encounter a single blackout in a month.

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company would trend in Twitter for all the WRONG reasons if they pull out power cuts! grin

It is mandatory for them to advertise to the public of impending black outs/power cuts and state reason(s) for doing so! Thanks to technology, the power men can now do repairs and carry out works without switching off the power lines in what's known as live maintenance!

There is electricity ALL OVER Kenya. The whole country is connected.

There are many Nigerians here and they all get surprised how remote villages in Kenya have electricity 24/7 while in Nigeria, major cities can't have continuous electricity for more than 12 hours.

It's not really a fight buh a controlled rebuttals of supremacy.I think he's satisfied with my replies and if he isn't he is welcome to extensive rebuttals buh I want to send a strong caution to the Mod whether you or anyone to call forgiveness to order. He keeps repeating lies making it a propaganda agenda such as "the minimum wage in Nigeria is 30,000 naira whilst the fact on the ground is 18,000 naira. The bill has not even been passed into law yet.He also says Ghana buys coke for 4.00 Cedis when it's completely false buh sold for 1.00 cedis,Ghana has only one city whilst we have more than 5 metropolitan cities according to Google facts and official facts.Nigerians are no longer in Ghana for education when the numbers is souring and increasing rapidly, these are a few of his repeated trademark lies which I believe telling of lies and misinformation is more dangerous than even a barrage of insults which he seems intolerant to handle.Telling lies has more consequences and must be called to order or called out or at most banned for some periods without discriminating against nationality

Which part of 70% have access don't you understands. Let me break it down. It mean 70% of all kenya households in villages, cities, towns and even in remotest houses have electricity. 30% who don't have - normally are just few meters from the transformer - but cannot afford the 300 dollars connection fee. I think maybe only 10% are far from nearest transformer(600m) and would need new stepdown transformer.

When we say access - we mean everyone in everywhere has nearly 24hrs of power every day - excess during schedule maintenance. There is more than enough power for consumption.

Kenya slums all have electricity - 24hrs a day - and they have water - illegally connected. You should move there. It better than living in Nigeria's Slumpolis
