At last only 0.119047619% of the original applicants will be hired. You can take that to the bank.
Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by Fremaxx: 12:06am On Feb 21, 2019
It's clear that the percentile system will be used for the selection process. Imagine you praying to get selected by praying for others to score lower. Don't forget o that everyone is praying to get an invite smiley

You are clearly wrong. This is the SAME Graduate Engineering position in Nigeria we are talking about. From the thread on here, we can confirm they wrote the test for Graduate Engineer in 1. Lagos 2. PH 3. Uyo. 4. Abuja 5. Houston 6. London so why do you think they didnt write in UAE?I can confirm that they are writing the same dragnet we are writing in UAE and Australia and until those people are done, there will be no mails
Fremaxx:
I just have to say something about your speculation. Mobil Nigeria is not recruiting for Mobil UAE. You are telling us rubbish. This recruitment process in Nigeria has no business with the UAE recruitment. It's misleading for you to keep hammering this UAE recruitment. You're clearly saying what you don't know. Please restrict yourself to Nigeria recruitment. Following UAE recruitment is pointless. A word is enough for the wise.

@freemax I hope you can see it is just not me saying this?
Faloh:
Exxon mobil just sent mail to candidates in middle east to write in Dubai. So I guess the graduate engineer stuff might still take a while. Their exam is next week Thursday.
Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by Faloh: 7:56am On Feb 21, 2019
@Freemax, you're the one wrong here. The recruitment for Nigeria MPN is done world wide. Those staying in the middle east are writing their exams today in UAE. People wrote in AUSTRALIA, USA, UK. So, try to be calm when assessing people's messages.

Lol I hope you saw dragnet message when selecting location and country. UAE was not in the list. It's really surprising that there is a test centre in UAE. When he mentioned graduate engineer UAE, I thought it was for Mobil UAE obviously.

This is Interesting and they won't even take up to 1% of original applicants.

This one has become an international battle.
Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by ExpertNLer: 11:11am On Feb 21, 2019
In the initial form they sent people to select their preferred location, 80% of countries around the world were on that list. The fact that something does not apply to you does not mean it is untrue. Dragnet organised the ones for lagos, abuja, uyo, ph, london and houston around the same period, that is why they were grouped together in the face of testing portal.

You are in UAE and you will still want Naija jobs?

First you have to understand that this isn't just any other job. This is an ExxonMobil opportunity, a company ranked #2 in the Fortune 500 and #9 in the Fortune Global 500. A lot of people who know what the opportunity means will apply for it depending on whatever job or opportunity they currently have. Mind you the compensation is on par with their peers in other ExxonMobil companies around the world

Lol. Good luck to the UAE guys. After all nothing less
than 15000 applicants applied for the graduate engineer role and only first maybe (not accurate but guessing) 100-200 in the test will make it to the interviews. Omo this competition is tough.

But Exxon Mobil is a global company naw, and as such have branches scattered all over the world. It doesn't mean those writing their test in the middle east will come to Nigeria to work. Chill guys chill.

It was clearly stated that this job position was for their Nigerian branch

The role is for exxonmobil nigeria, so those selected will work in Nigeria

Yes some have solid game plan, some don't. The chances that one will get a job similar to ExxonMobil as a foreigner is slim, so you might as well try the same opportunity in your own country. The way you guys are saying "trainee" like you are underestimating this particular ExxonMobil opportunity. I know people who are working in other reputable oil & gas companies and have about 2-3 years experience who applied for this role. It is because they know about the industry and what they stand to gain. Goodluck

Not so.
Jobs are easier got anywhere if you are qualified except for UK due to their immigration law being too stringent.

Lets be factual here. You wouldn't relinquish a job in UAE to be paid trainee salary in Nigeria where even the living conditions are harsh. The guys in Exxonmobil here in Nigeria are looking out to go to Canada. So you get the logic?

Thirdly, you are being paid according to MOBIL NIGERIA.

Exactly my point man. So why are people bothered about how many persons will be employed sighting similar tests going on elsewhere??

Or do you mean those selected world wide??
Re: Graduate Engineer & Other Engineering Roles At ExxonMobil by ExpertNLer: 12:50pm On Feb 21, 2019
wait let's be clear here, this is a "graduate engineering role", and yes I understand the living conditions side of it. Truth is people who have similar calibre jobs already secured won't bother, but those who have lower paying jobs will apply and take the test. Mind you how much do you think the "trainee" salary for ExxonMobil is?

Since it is a graduate role, this is targeted at recent graduates, or people who have went to the US/UK/Worldwide for postgraduate study etc

Your point is logical, Even though the living condition in this country is quite poor, ExxonMobil still rank as a big fish and a great place to work, this is a job that pays seven digit figures for entry level engineers, sound training and other benefits when it all adds up. So one can understand while others are poaching for it.

Just that it makes the chances for anyone slimmer as the competition get more intense.

how did you come to this conclusion. How many Nigerian graduates land trainee jobs abroad. They have local university graduates just like Nigeria, so why would they hire you before their own local candidates. The Mobil staff relocating are experienced hires not trainee or mid levels.
