Good evening techies and bloggers. I really need help with my blog. I created a blog some days back because I love writing and I have always being passionate about blogging for years now. I read and research a lot about blogging because I want to know everything about it. And also because I'm not so much of a techie but I want to develop myself in that area. I do this by reading, making research and asking questions. That's how I learn.
I bought both a domain (.Com) and host from a Nigerian host company. I set up my blog but right now I still feel something's are missing because its not what I expect.
1) My blog is just White. I mean its just plain white. I see peoples blogs and I admire how beautiful it is with the title of their blog well written at the top but I don't know why mine is different. The worst part is that I have installed template on my blog. I don't know why its not reflecting.
2) if I type my blog URL on search engine, it doesn't take me to my blog. I don't know why? If this continues, how will people find my blog? Or is it because I haven't written any blog post?
3) I downloaded the WordPress app on my phone because I read that it can be used to blog. Pls bloggers, how reliable is this app? Do you use it?
Right now, I can't even access my WordPress app with my login details. Did I omit something in my settings?
Most of you may find this questions asurd but remember I'm a newbie in this and I'm not a techie but I have the passion to grow and better myself in ICT.

It's obvious you have no single idea about the whole thing. You should have seek the help of a professional before even buying a host. Are you sure you've even installed WordPress?

Well that is obvious. I do not really belong to the category of people that seek professionals help and relax or sleep. Always love doing things myself. If I encounter any problem, I ask a professional. They tell me what to do and I do it. That's how Iearn. That's how I grow.
And yes dear, I installed WordPress. Just occured to me that there is something that needed to be disabled in my settings.

Well you choose to make mistakes first before asking for help rather than learning from others mistakes... So unfortunate.

I had blogged for years and until i began to talk to the right people before something started coming out.

Buying a hosting account from a Nigerian hosting first is a wrong move.. All of them a wack.. U hear that? They simply don't have what it takes to run a hosting company.
Secondly your WordPress settings, type of theme installed, targeted audience, domain hmmm domain you choose (keywords in it), how you go about with keywords and how u implement them better matters.

There are people who can do this for you free of charge, while there are others who will collect small fee from you. I have done countless for so many free of charge.

Believe me I've been using them for years and they really amazed me because they are performing above my explectations. All web hosting companies aren't 100% perfect you know amd even Godaddt!! Yes Godaddy!!!

The truth is most of Nigerian hosts, if not all are resellers and they are at the mercy of the host they resell. They don't have total control of their hosting.
If anything happens to the main host, it'll definitely affect them.

And again, all Nigerian host, yes, ALL OF THEM, doesn't have the technicalities required to run a hosting company. Just pray you don't have a serious server issue, the so called customer service won't even know what to do because they don't even know what is happening... I'm speaking from experience here.
One of the reasons I so much like this particular host I'm using... Their support is so much outstanding. They have never ever for once disappointed me for the 4+ years I've been with them. Their live chat is always online and with instant response be it 2am. They will even help you with your website when you mess up your codes (no Nigerian host will can do that).
I once had an issue with my htaccess, which shouldn't have been their concern, but they helped me solve it in minutes.

Some of these Nigerian hosts don't even have an office and even run by just one person... It's funny but true.
I'm not speaking from what I heard, but from my experience. So just pray you don't have a serious issue with your website.

All those things I bolded qservers offer them too, once transferred from a domain to another and they helped with the process. The only issue is that not all their customer care service are proffesional but I know of a guy there that is a pro . They also help with some setups.

Their customer care is 95% lit too

The only issue am having with them is their affiliate marketing scam which doesn't support domain affiliate

You can't really blame them for not having domain affiliate. They resell from foreign registrars and the profit they make from it is low.

For example, Domainking buy their domain from Namesilo at $8.99(N3280) and sell at N3800 (N4200 for renewal). So imagine including domain registration in their affiliate program, they'll definitely run at loss
