The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged the winner in Osun State.

Mr Buhari beat his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential election held on Saturday in Osun State and officially announced by Toyin Ogundipe, a professor and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos.

Mr Buhari polled 347,674 votes while Mr Atiku got 337,377 votes, with the APC candidate leading with a margin of 10,297.

He won 18 of the 30 local governments in the state while Mr Abubakar won 12.

as far as I'm consine considering all things still is winning south west with good numbers, I don't think he'll win more states

PDP is also getting good votes up core north

It's called psychology.... Not physiology. And, I thought we were comparing 2015 results?

I am still awaiting where Atiku total victory will come from.The results coming from North are explosives compare to the small margins in SE and SS.

Win na win, even though both parties get 50/50 in all southwest states results, APC will still win with Northern votes.

Upon all the rigging and burning of ballots, APC couldn't get more than 10,000 net votes.

Exactly my thought. The bazzoka from SE & SS are being loaded.

Thought APC said PDP was dead in Osun State! No thanks to Aregbesola the pseudo-illiterate former Governor whose voice is the only audio his ears love to hear!

The same as Buhari. It is also about the numbers at this point. Buhari will get his 25% and will edge out Atiku with the total numbers...

I have not been seeing results from the SS/SE just north and SW we've been seeing , can somebody post the result of the SS/SE here

APC is a master rigger don't forget APC burnt votes paper in oriade local government while this area is a stronghold of PDP,,,, just 10000 votes ahead of PDP am sure if those votes was not got burnt PDP would have lead APC but God dey Sha

we the kind hunger & joblessness in the country, some people that have grains in their skull stil vote for buhari, what a pity
