Akeredolu should never have been allowed to govern Ondo State. He’s the reason why APC lost. Boroffice is the only senator elect from Ondo, he won because he was not supported by Akeredolu. If Akeredolu had had his way and imposed his choice, APC would have lost all the three seats.

As for Oyo, the people are tired of Ajimobi. He has no business contesting for senate again but out of greed, he contested and lost. APC won the two other senate seats and majority of the house of reps seats.

Overall, APC won south west and that is what matters. If PDP had won the region like they did in 2011, Atiku would be coasting home to victory by now. We must stop this attempt to downplay south west’s contribution to APC’s victory.

Story, just the way you said Mimiko was going to win Ondo for APC.

SE has a state reserved for APC same way SS has a state reserved for APC. I believe Buhari had the chance to prove the SE wrong and make SE feel remorseful for their choice in 2015 but he blew it.
Then i also dont think its right to castigate SE for the choice they made because the SE has always been a PDP region from 1999. They supported Obasanjo a SW for 8 years, supported Yaradua a northerner and did same for Jonathan a SS man. I dont think its right to castigate them now for sticking to what they've always stuck with.
Buhari picked an igbo man as a running mate in 2003 and 2007 yet SE didnt vote him, and all through those years they voted pdp, where an igbo man wasnt the deputy.
I like facts, please expantiate further @ bolded. Thanks in anticipation.

Well, the world is about choices and consequences but it'll be good for the nation if we all come together and work towards the same goal now.

As for the bold, I'm from SW and was born in the SS, worked in the SE, NW, NE and NC and I'll tell you apart from the SW, the SS are the most liberal of all. Just don't interfere with their chopping and you're good.

They never play politics of hate or emotions. It's all about interest which politics is all about

The people have no issues. It's the leaders particularly the governors whose infighting caused the wahala. Thankfully, only ondo was lost but then it was still close. Their arrogance almost caused damage

Osinbajo is the real MVP and of course Tinubu's underground machine but they need to communicate more with the grassroots as Osinbajo was doing

On the overall, SW gave Buhari more votes.

It's true, to whom much is given, much is expected. But it's quite tricky with issues like this.

If you remove South West vote from Buhari's vote, what would happen?

The hatred SS and SE have for Buhari is the reason he contested three times and lost. SW was indifferent then.
SW is Buhari's buffer against SE and SS hate else he would never had won.

Why is there a reduction in number of votes from major Northern strongholds of Buhari?
Simply because many people are not really happy with things..

The fact that APC win SW is a pointer to the fact that despite the economic issues, Yoruba's still believe Buhari will take Nigeria to greater height..

SW governors are the major reason for the low margin..
They were not paying salaries and were collecting bailouts from Buhari. Buhari didn't rein them in at the right time...

Brother, there is serious hunger in town..
Those of us who ensured PDP failed in South West are deep thinkers who know Buhari has done incredibly well considering the available resources..

With the economic issues, APC internal crises, governors owing salaries and number of SE people in Yorubaland, Yoruba people still cherish the hard way to success..

That PDP got substantial vote is a pointer that things are not yet at level we are but those who voted APC knows we are on right path

Honestly, they really messed up. I feel very highly disappointed. Their actions almost messed up the election for APC. They were favored with appointments and every other thing in this government yet they failed to deliver. The election would have been over by now.

You raised some points which I quite agree with.
I used to tell people that had it been PDP has fielded a credible person with little stains like tambuwal or makarfi, buhari will most likely be defeated. Buhari's performance in the last 4yrs is nothing to write home about.

Anyway I believe the SW and north will find a common ground before 2023.
