This is the age old lie that Yorubas have been peddling for years and years. How can one single man stop something from being added to the constitution? How can Zik stop a secession clause if the rest of Nigeria wanted it?

It should also be noted that even if a secession clause had been added to the constitution, it would have made no difference. The 1960 constitution that would have have have had secession in it was suspended in January 1966 when the military came in and that constitution was never used again. So even if such secession clause was added to the constitution in 1960, it would have been gone in January 1966, long before anyone wanted to secede from Nigeria.
Oga, it is not a case of one man, these were representatives of constituencies. Zik himself affirmed the same fact in a newspaper interview back in the 70's. Thankfully it was another Nationalist that put the final nail in the coffin...amiable Gen. Aguiyi-Ironsi, who brought in the unitary system which led to the problems. https://www.thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2017/06/my-opposition-to-secession-zik

The point being made here is that it is not possible for one man to prevent a law being enacted. Zik may not have wanted a secession clause, but it is not possible for him alone to have prevented it if the majority had wanted it. It is not possible for one man to prevent a law being passed
