This Cyborg in Doom Patrol is unlike anything in the comic. I watched it yesterday and he doesn't have the aura of Cyborg. He doesn't even behave like a cyborg. The characterization is flawed. I still prefer Ray Fisher's cyborg.

i wouldn't even call him cyborg yet. He doesn't have his entire body covered with robotics. Just fingers and an eye. The advantage he has over fisher's is he was m0re developed in d0om patrol whereas fisher's cyborg was subject to deleted scenes that could've showed audiences m0re. I still prefer fisher's cyborg though.

I'm really happy DC are finally waking up, there are other superheros In their collection, not only Batman and Superman.
Also it makes a change for me personally, away from the marvel movies all the time

I have watched a lot of DC animated movies by the way. I have never seen Cyborg being a talker, but this Cyborg talks so much. A good cyborg characterization is supposed to behave like a machine-integrated human. His emotions are really not obvious. In short, the doom patrol cyborg is more human than cyborg in behaviour which is rather weird.

I think they can still tell a compelling story without him....

you are right since the team is dynamic and Gunn's version is more of a relaunch than a sequel, there's no need recasting Deadshot. he could still be used in future works. I think Rick Flag should return and maybe Katana.

I think in the end, the storyline/plot will decide if Deadshot should/will be recast or replaced.
Should they decide to recast it though, someone has already pointed out Deathstroke.
I will also like Black Spider to be in the team!

Thank you very much for seeking good advice from a marvel fan . I will say just remove deadshot like DC should just kill him or he later decided to settle down with his daughter.
The main characters in suicide squad are Amanda and Harley even in the present comics Harley is like the leader and she is even killing superheroes in heroes in crisis.

So DC should remove him and add some characters like killer Frost, reverse flash(Daniel west), king shark, and bronze tiger(copied black panther ) some people are saying Deathstroke

Amanda doesn't like people she can't control and Deathstroke is too independent to add a team like suicide squad even in the comics is only in one issue of new suicide squad run from 2014-2016 that Deathstroke was part of a Suicide squad mission in Russia.

Deathstroke can be the villian because this guy has beaten the justice league before in identity crisis.

I hope DC follows these

Since Geoff Johns is in charge of this thing, I won't be surprised if he instructed the writers to write cyborg this way. By the way, when does cyborg become cyborg in the comics? He is always sad and bitter, talks like a real cyborg right from when his body was repaired by a motherbox.
