The alliance among political parties has continued to generate controversies in Oyo State, ahead of the governorship and state house of assembly elections scheduled for March 9.

This is accompanied by meetings of leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the south-west region with major members of the opposition parties.

The purpose is to mend fences and build a way forward to ensure the success of their candidates in the coming polls.

One of such meetings was that of Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, and ADP governorship candidate and one-time governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala.

Both men briefed reporters on their stance and the support for the APC governorship candidate in Oyo, Mr Bayo Adelabu.

Although President Muhammadu Buhari the presidential election, the ruling party got fewer votes in the state compared to that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The party, in a bid to address the situation, has returned to the drawing board and already mending relationships with some of its estranged leaders.

APC as a party is administered by Tinubu and he has the power to decide the next president after Buhari.

Tinubu is not that dull to allow Buharis men hijack the structure of the party.

The PhD governor Fayemi had in war studies, shows he is good at conflict resolutions. The same way he brought aggrevied parties together in Osun state, that is what he is doing in Oyo state. APC will win Oyo state gubernatorial election.

They know that the sitting governor is a burden to them the need for another governor from another state if you think this is ludo game in which you win by chance your eyes go soon clear

Nice move... Alliance must be formed for APC to be formidable in Oyo based on the recent result in the presidential / Nass election. Definitely APC will conquer. Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) is a good strategist. He already sighted the future. Alao akala is also a threat in terms of the major contenders. He is popular, he is an ex governor, that is to say the move made by APC will produce a positive outcome in the coming gubernatorial election in Oyo State.

That is what we call mature politics, I hope all the aggrieved political opponents will put hands together for the growth of south west and Nigeria as a whole.
