even the teaching English is very risky

you can work in the club, basketball coach, bars and restaurant etc

Please, what do you suggest I do to avoid being arrested at China airport. A close friend who went to study in China got, arrested at the airport. The news sent chills to my spine and I'm almost started with my Visa application. The Uncle who went to drop him off said he cried like a baby as they really don't know anywhere he's been taken or how to locate each other. His crime is that his fellow Nigerians have been entering China with students Visa only to start drugs and arms. Is that true, how do I avoid becoming a victim of such

There's more to the story ,Do your research well.... or he doesn't practically look like a student , Or he has an incriminating identity or substance he carried , He should be released when proven innocent ,Don't be deceived That can't be his crime ...

I got into Shanghai Ocean University for Masters' Program in Engineering, CSC scholarship-based and I'll like to know the quality of education, the African population and living expense in the institution. Also, how would you rate the opportunities available for Nigerian students in China to those in Nigeria considering the odds involved - Employment Laws in China?

Yes, you can as long as you’ve a valid visa and a letter from your school noting they’re aware of your trip.
