If you doubt me create a topic on Naira land asking guys to share if they have ever tapped current from ladies in que or bus with style. Make it fun and jovial and you will see how rampant this thing is. Do it and come back here to tell me that a woman should not be on guard in Nigeria esp with this rapist generation where babies, boys and even great grandma's are sexually abused everyday. It is a shame that men are not speaking about this rape trend going on in Naija today. If it was women doi g these crimes men would creat posts upon posts condemning women but sadly hardly any man posts and condemns rape that is taking over our country. We"d rather shove the responsibility unto the women and blame moms or victims when the perverts are caught. Imagine a man asking why an 8 year old girl dis not come out to complain since she was being rapped for more than 2 years by her uncle, and claimed that she prolly was enjoying it and if not noticed by her aunt she would prolly keep quite about it for life. That is the mindset 89% men of this generation. Can you beat that?

Na to investigate first. If the woman is trash we will not even answer her rants but drag her out of the place. If she lied and is found out na to beat her remain then we kick her out. Abegi, don’t jump to hasty conclusions.

Any remotely rational person who has followed my numerous NL posts on rape, sexual harassment, sexism or gender attitudes would not reach your precipitous conclusion. Nonetheless, the real value of education is the capacity to consider/review several positions and possibilities before reaching INDEPENDENT conclusions - not simply to robotically regurgitate “repeat-after-me” dogmatic worldviews.

The acknowledged REALITY of sexual harassment (including groping) being relatively rampant in Nigeria (and indeed many other nations) does not automatically mean that every accusation/allegation is true or not accidental. Frankly, that anyone would make definitive pronouncements of guilt based on this sketchy news story (without the benefit of personal privity thereto) simply boggles the rational mind.
